   Team Description

The Maintenance Team at Airbus India utilizes primarily System Engineering and Health engineering competencies. This team is responsible for defining the maintenance systems of tomorrow for the aircraft, designing the BITE specifications for the systems, providing the customization mods needed for the aircraft, and developing diagnostic and prognostic solutions to improve the maturity of systems and to provide health monitoring capabilities by applying machine learning algorithms, reliability concepts, an adept understanding of aircraft systems and modeling and simulation capabilities. The team works with both commercial and defense & space ecosystems and is also engaged on Airbus Skywise (the singular access point to data analytics) utilizing Big Data, Java & Python skills to create data-driven models. We are a team strongly invested in R&T initiatives that are dedicated to supporting future aircraft health needs. This team is part of Simulation & Physical Systems, a department that works on providing simulation means for most aircraft systems and industrial needs through the application of systems engineering, MBSE, certification abilities, etc.

  Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an In-Service Engineer - ATA 31 Recording Systems who is self-motivated and driven to provide support for in-Service Engineering issues for ATA 31 systems and being responsible for:

Analyzing all in-service events to identify potential impacts on safety, airworthiness, reliability, quality, cost of ownership, passenger and crew comfort,as well as operational costs.,

Identifying and solving in-service issues by monitoring events, identifying fleet impact, analyzing causes and solutions in coordination with Engineering and Programs.

Contributing to the improvement of avionic systems maturity and reliability.

Propose solutions and become the “voice to the customer”. 

To meet & discuss with customers (from technical meeting to Worldwide symposium) to provide technical information,

To prepare and publish technical documents to customers,

Participate and contribute to technical forums

To ensure a qualitative communication/ marketing of available solutions to operators.,

Using data analytics Airbus tools (typically Skywise Services), develop data analytics  dashboards to provide visibility on Airbus product reliability

Required experience & Skills

B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or electronics engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace industry

Business Proficiency in English

Good understanding in any aircraft systems preferably- Recording systems (CVR, DFDR, Aircraft Condition and Monitoring System).

Basic awareness of system engineering concepts

Airline operations knowledge 

Service minded and highly customer focus, able to understand customer needs

Advanced interpersonal & coordination skills to work in close collaboration with Multi Functional Teams  external stakeholders in a multicultural environment,

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Experience in data analytics and related tools (Python,R, etc)

Nice to Have

Proficiency in quickly grasping the technical details of different aircraft systems and associating the technology to solve relevant problem statements.

Good communicator so as to represent Airbus India as part of the project

Strong team player motivated to collaborate and find synergies

Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively
