Job Description:
As Cabin & Cargo Engineer, you will join the Simulation and Physical Systems department
within Airbus India Engineering and work in the area of In-Service Engineering Support for
Cabin & Cargo Systems. You will work in a trans-national environment with other engineers
based in France and Germany.
The role covers the technical areas:
All Cabin & Cargo systems like – Supplement cooling system (ATA-21), Communications (ATA-
23), Equipment/Furnishings (ATA-25), Passenger Compartment, Galleys, Fire Protection (ATA-
26), Ice and Rain Protection (ATA-30), Lights (ATA-33), Oxygen (ATA-35), Water/Waste (ATA-
38).
Short term activity:
Data analysis of Customer queries to identify main pain points (A/C program, ATA
chapter, P/N, etc),
Data analysis of OI (Operational Interruption) and OR (Operational Reliability),
Data analysis of A/L logbooks (starting with maintenance logbook)
These analyses will
Enable to identify emerging fleet in-service issues
Enable to become familiar (or to improve your knowledge) with cabin & cargo technical
topics
Mid term activity:
Through the monitoring of in-service events, define needed corrective actions both in
production and in service (inspection, modification, operational constraints, quality
escapes, immediate mitigation etc.),
Answer customer daily technical queries - by understanding the technical issue the
customer is facing, providing them with all the relevant technical information needed to
operate the aircraft correctly and /or return the aircraft to normal service,
Provide In service Information (ISI) and Technical Follow up (TFU) to airlines ensuring a
high level of quality and added value information.
The role demands the following skills and interests:
Team player - Highly concerned by Customer care and service minded.
Engineering degree either specialized in aeronautics, or with significant experience in
airline business and operations
Good coordination and relational skills to deal with Customers, Design Offices, Vendors
and other Airbus departments.
Autonomous - able to quickly adapt to constantly changing priorities.
Good presentation skills, both oral and written.
First experience in Systems Engineering Cabin is a plus.
Experience: 5 – 7 years
