The CBB Finance team in Bengaluru is seeking an Associate to join the Deposit Revenue Finance team. This role involves supporting financial planning and analysis for NIR line items within the Consumer Banking Revenue Finance team. The candidate will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting processes, regulatory submissions, and assessing the impact of strategic decisions on the P&L. A CA/MBA degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred. Experience with Alteryx and VBA is a plus.

Job Responsibilities 

The CBB Finance team in Bengaluru supports the Consumer and Business Banking segment by offering Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis services to various internal customers including Finance and Business Management leads and field finance teams. This position of “Associate” will be part of the Deposit Revenue Finance team. This position would support financial planning and analysis for few NIR line items within the Revenue Finance team of Consumer Banking with end to end ownership of the process.

  • Financial Analysis experience an advantage. Experience in retail finance or banking is a big plus
  • Support Budgeting and forecasting processes for revenue line items as per corporate timelines and continuously work on improving and maintaining high degree of forecast accuracy
  • Support regulatory submissions relating to CCAR, ICAAP, Risk Appetite, Resolution and Recovery
  • Create, maintain, and enhance multi-year financial performance for the business, assessing the impact of strategic decisions and trade-offs on the P&L
  • Develop strong understanding of various products offered by the Bank and the related revenue drivers
  • Collaborate effectively with finance, marketing and technology and business teams
  • Present results and recommendations clearly and concisely to senior leaders in the organization

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Qualified CA/ MBA or equivalent degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in Financial Planning
  • Good communication and strong excel skills.Working knowledge of Essbase
  • Positive attitude and demonstrate intellectual curiosity. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations
  • Team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior management
  • Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Alteryx would be an added advantage.
  •  VBA will be a plus but not mandatory.

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Responsibilities: Management and Governance Forums Reporting – Support all aspects of the controls monthly reporting process to meet the local and global reporting deadlines. This includes coordinating the preparation of governance decks; taking care of meeting logistics, minutes, etc.; and preparing monthly scorecards and metrics that will be reviewed in Senior Management and governance and controls forums.  Metrics – Act as lead for the metrics that are owned and overseen by the team, including managing required changes to the metrics.  This involves end-to-end development and automation of metrics, in partnership with Product Owner and Technology teams. Lead metrics generation and analysis, coordinating relevant stakeholders input for explaining key variations and related issues.  Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for metrics generation / execution processes and keep documentation updated to reflect any subsequent changes. Furthermore, you will liaise with GRCC Controls Solution team and LOBs to identify data anomalies, conduct deep dive on potential issues, and participate in review meetings with LOBs.  Controls Testing – Work in partnership with the GRCC teams to co-ordinate with LOBs the execution of regular controls testing.    Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities: Required Qualification  Leadership & Partnership –  Able to operate across businesses and functions to drive deliveries within internal and external deadlines with minimal supervision. You will be working in alignment with EMEA (London) working hours.  Communication – Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to interact with senior management as required. Strong experience in preparing analysis to be reviewed in governance and risk and controls forums.  Quantitative and problem solving – Ability to demonstrate innovation, good judgement and problem-solving skills when making decisions.  Experience in designing, documenting, and implementing metrics to assist LOBs to track performance, identify areas of risk, and provide information to management. Independent of criteria and good at asking the right questions to stakeholders until a clear understanding of issues / breaks, root cause, remediation and timelines is obtained. Capacity to think laterally, understand the big picture, and explore strategic and tactical solutions.  Execution – End-to-end ownership of tasks and proactively working to a solution. You will execute tasks independently under dynamic targets, thrive in an energetic, changing, and fast paced working environment. Able to follow a structured and organized approach for executing tasks or introduce changes into processes. Excellent team player with multitasking and prioritizing skills. Must be proficient with MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Word.  Preferred Qualification  Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and data, articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.  Strong data analytical skills to make sense of large underlying data sets, calculations of performance, risk metrics, and identify areas that require escalation. Operating Model, Risk Control and/or audit experience.  Experience in driving change, mitigating risk, and automating processes by using tools like Tableau and Alteryx.  Experienced in business process and product lifecycle. Good knowledge in any of the following cash and derivative products (Credit, Commodities, Equity, ETD, F&O, Rates) a plus.
