The VP, Senior Experience Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of JPMorgan Chase's service offerings by merging design thinking and service design with advanced AI/ML/NLU technologies. This role requires a unique blend of cross-team collaboration, a passion for innovative solutions, and a robust understanding of AI/ML integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Innovation: Lead the development and implementation of HCD designs that integrate AI/ML/NLU technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, product managers, and human experience designers.
  • Research: Conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs, challenges, and opportunities for service improvements.
  • Prototyping: Rapidly iterate on service prototypes, leveraging AI/ML models (maybe NLU) to enhance user experiences.
  • Strategy: Contribute to the strategic direction of our AI/ML service initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership, integrating feedback and driving alignment.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior service designers, helping them integrate AI/ML into their design practices.

Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in experience/service design.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with AI/ML technologies.
  • Ideally, but not required, 2+ years of IVR/NLU experience.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
  • Strong portfolio showcasing AI/ML-integrated service design projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in spoken and written English
