Position Summary:
The IM Data Analytics Specialist in Airbus Americas (USA, Canada and Mexico) is responsible for the following activities:
Working with all divisions and functions of Airbus in North America to identify key areas of improvement through data value analysis
Developing, maintaining, and supporting robust analytics solutions across all business lines
Encourage and enable self-service analytics by business teams
Coach and develop data analytics awareness with internal customers
This position combines robust analytics skills and experience to drive and create business value through data analytics across Airbus in North America.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analytics Products Development, Maintenance and Support: 70%
Evaluate analytic needs and objectives for internal business customers
Analyze and design the appropriate data visualization solution components
Provide functional & technical guidance to business customers and stakeholders regarding data visualization needs
Analyze and assemble complex sets of data
Build ETL processes to organize raw data into organized structures
Create database objects that will support visualizations
Develop visualizations, using various tools, that present data in understandable visual formats
Deliver packages and projects within the framework prescribed by the Analytics & Data Platform manager
Work with other Airbus IM Teams, such as Cyber Security, Legal and Compliance to define data classification and security requirements
Liaise and work with Data Management teams in Airbus Europe to ensure global and end to end consistency of data
Support all Analytics team activities, including development, maintenance and operations
Analytics Products Awareness and Coaching: 10%
Work within business units to promote the advantages of creating data products and visualizations to further business objectives
Coach internal business users with a goal of being largely self-sufficient for their analytics needs
Analytics Research – 10%
Research and document new and improved features on existing tools
Become familiar with new analytics technologies in Airbus and in the marketplace
Stay current on latest analytics trends and emerging technologies
Recommend new ways of using tools to further business needs
Other duties as assigned – 10%
