The Opportunity:

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager will be primarily responsible for effectively executing the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy for underrepresented groups by helping to define and implement programs that drive systemic change and create equity.  This includes analyzing data, creating tools, resources, or routines to bring programs to life. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager will be a consultative solution partner to senior business and HR leaders while serving as a change agent in designing, developing, and delivering across a broad array of talent programs to attract, develop and retain the best leaders and engaged team members. You will make a positive impact through leading and organizing broad cross-functional efforts and work closely with leadership to help achieve business goals.

Reporting to the HPE, Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager will be part of the core global team that the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer leads.

 

What you’ll do:

Specific Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Demonstrate experience and proficiency in DEI strategies; and strong ability to build and implement strategies in a large organization
  • Subject matter expert in DEI who is up to date on trends and able to effectively translate new ideas into action.
  • Act as a key member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team to design and implement programs and processes that help drive the global enterprise-wide DEI strategy
  • Make key decisions with global impact in all areas relevant to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and contributes to developing and monitoring the enterprise-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy.
  • Build trust-based relationships and works cross-functionally to drive the successful and on-time completion of DEI initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and identify risks while offering strategic solutions to best keep the team and the work moving forward
  • Maintain comprehensive program portfolio of timing and deliverables across workstreams
  • Identify opportunities, address gaps, and implement tactics that will deliver desired results. Assess interdependencies and collision points and recommend sequencing of work to accelerate progress
  • Develop change management strategies spanning across program offerings and provides direction on execution.
  • Communicate programs to senior management, organize and participate in key information summits, and oversee content updates in relevant portals.
  • Assess the ongoing effectiveness of multiple programs including managing overall program costs and tracking key metrics.
  • Refine strategies and develop new solutions to improve cost efficiency and achievement of the success criteria.
  • Lead major process improvement and strategic proposals from within the business and functions to determine enterprise-wide viability.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to effectively integrate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into operational routines
  • Provide leadership and management to a global team of DEI program managers, including hiring, setting goals, and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and development.
  • Expected to lead and/or contribute to global projects and team collaboration across multiple timezones, and primarily work HPE Headquarters work hours

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree at minimum, advanced university degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in an HR function (DEI, HR generalist, Talent Management, Talent Development, Talent acquisition, Organizational Development), with preferred experience delivering complex programs to a large business, preferably global.
  • Proficient in utilizing data to diagnose issues and opportunities across talent practices and experienced in identifying solutions aimed at making talent practices equitable
  • Deep understanding of social and cultural norms across global regions. Strong established relationships and partnerships with NGOs
  • Typically, 2+ years supervisory experience.

  • Exposure to Business Strategy, Human Capital Strategy and Global DEI Strategy
  • Strong experience in managing ERGs/BRGs program
  • Experience with Agile framework
  • Proven project management skills. PMP certification is a plus
