About the Role:

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and QA counterparts on functional design and analysis of requirements
  • Design and develop a product in a metadata-driven development environment
  • Create and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using an OO framework and class modeling 
  • Create and maintain reliable automated tests
  • Troubleshoot customer reported issues
  • Mentor and learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge sharing, hackathons, etc

 

About you/Requirements:

​Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus
  • OO design and development experience in an object oriented language such as Java, C#, etc...
  • Experience designing/developing business applications, (knowledge of ERP systems, HR or Human Capital Management is a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of design and analysis of software for performance
  • You feel the key to good object oriented development is strong design patterns
  • You believe applications should be usable and configurable
  • Must be a collaborative team player with good verbal and written communication skills

 

Other Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with XML and Integration technologies is a plus
  • Working Knowledge of front end applications such as React or Angual is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience

AS A MACHINIST, YOU WILL: Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards. Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions. Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills. Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.  Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.  Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required.  Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations. WHO YOU ARE: You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations, effectively communicate in various settings, and stay productive to align with company goals. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Mechanical related Associates degree or experience with machining and fabricating is a plus. Legal authorization to work in the United States.  PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Mechanical related Associates degree or 5+ years of experience with machining and fabricating. Welding knowledge preferred. Experience in the process control industry is a plus. Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and/or CAM software is preferred.
