Job Description and Requirements

This Business Manager is accountable for driving business strategy, plans and activities for our core EDA tools in Japan. You will work closely with the BU’s leadership team and departments, including R&D and marketing, as well as partner with Synopsys regional sales and field operations, to drive entry into new markets, acquisition of new logos and acceleration in business growth. We are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented person that has a successful track record of business growth achievement in the Japan semiconductors market with deep professional experience and solid local network.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive Japan business growth for our core EDA tools through exceptional planning and execution
• Interface between key customers, sales, technical field and R&D teams, accountable for aligning technology/resource focus with business priorities
• Represent the business unit to improve key customer relationships through clear articulation of value propositions, industry positioning and roadmaps
• Work across multiple product portfolios to leverage the full breadth of EDA technologies/solutions to increase customer value
• Partner with Sales to ensure adequate pipeline coverage to meet or exceed quarterly and annual business priorities
• Assist regional sales managers with planning, account strategy, and sales execution and line up R&D/PMM help as necessary
• Travel as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of semiconductor/EDA industry experience and a track record of successfully meeting or exceeding business targets
• Knowledge of the chip design and EDA tools market with a background of selling into both enterprise and territory accounts
• Experience growing business via channel partners
• Team player mentality
• A bachelor’s / master’s degree or equivalent is highly preferred. MBA is a plus.
