Work Description/Responsibilities:
● Set up processes to track, manage and optimize loan origination, loan disbursement, repayments and collections etc.
● Identify system-level opportunities to improve the repayment and collections processes and increase profitability
● Set up SOP’s for any issues faced by customers in coordination with the Customer Support team
● Setup a team for handling escalations on a day to day basis to provide prompt resolution to customers
● Develop an end-to-end Reconciliation Control process for Lending Operations.
● Review, interpret and implement regulatory guidelines as applicable for the Lending Business
● Responsible for the management of business reporting and any ad-hoc reporting required from time to time
● Own development & progress of team members via regular coaching and feedback
● Identify issues and lead process streamlining as and when required

Ideal candidate for this role:
● MBA/B.Tech from Tier-1 institution with 3-5 yrs of operations background (preferably in the lending vertical)
● Thrive at building relationships, influencing cross-functional teams and leadership teams on strategic execution of key projects.
● Be agile, highly collaborative and communicate impressively
● Strong logical and problem-solving skills
● Prior experience of managing a team
● Ability to evaluate, streamline and set up processes for scaling business

About The Role: A person in this role would be responsible for expanding PhonePe’s payments footprint in the Online Merchants ecosystem. This is an individual contribution role and one would have to own end-to-end accountability for building PhonePe’s acceptance network across a set of key enterprise merchants operating in the country. The PhonePe payments platform facilitates consumer transactions across all major use cases in the online space and there is a big merchant acceptance network which has been created in a very short timeframe. With fast growing business categories in the online space, it is imperative to drive sustainable growth and differentiation and this role would be responsible for accomplishment of this objective. This role would be responsible for managing key partners and growing PhonePe's Online payments. Key Responsibilities 1. Identification of key stakeholders on the merchant’s side for the identified set of enterprises. 2. Develop an understanding of the prospective merchant’s business environment and prepare merchant specific contextual/ relevant pitches. This would need one to be good with data/ understanding of businesses in the Indian context and basis this one should be able to outline the value which PhonePe can add to this business. 3. Pitch PhonePe solutions along with the overall business proposition to the key stakeholders. This would need one to be comfortable with having multiple discussions with CXO’s/ Senior Management on the merchant’s side. 4. Be accountable for all business metrics of the category along with all key inputs which would drive the business. 5. Be responsible for growth and development initiatives across all merchant segments and for drawing out the consumer and merchant adoption plan and work with various stakeholders to operationalize the plans. 6. Have to understand the category's dynamics and build out a solutions roadmap for the category basis the same. 7. Have a strong product/ solutioning orientation and ability to work with internal product and engineering teams to accomplish this objective. 8. Work out the commercial terms of the partnership with the merchant. This would need one to be good with numbers and negotiating capabilities. 9. Work with the PhonePe and Merchant legal teams to finalize the partnership agreements. This would need one to understand PhonePe and the Merchant’s business end-to-end and identify all relevant elements to be covered under the partnership agreement. 10. Work with the Bizfin team and different functional teams on the merchant’s side to finalize the longer-term business plans and model of engagement between the PhonePe teams and the Merchant’s teams. 11. Develop a holistic understanding of the overall digital payments landscape in the country/developments/opportunities and help adapt PhonePe’s go-to-market plans in the enterprise business segment accordingly. 12. Job Objective: Mass offline team focuses on driving PhonePe acceptance at offline merchants across urban and rural markets across the country. ASM is responsible for building and maintaining a strong relationship with the Merchants, DSAs and sales executives. The role also requires developing a keen and sharp understanding of local merchant/customer’s needs and hence, driving PhonePe transactions based on both brand positioning and local requirements. The incumbent will be responsible to set up and drive the team to achieve the acquisition & quality targets. Reporting Matrix: The role will report to the State Head and will have 8-10 Territory Sales Managers as direct reports and 70-80 business development executives as indirect reports.   Responsibilities:   Business Growth: Grow distribution and market share in the assigned area of operations Identify, interact and develop DSAs to align and drive business in the market Synthesize inputs on local competition from TSM and verify for authenticity across geography.
