Specialist Software Engineer (Business Objects & Power BI Developer)

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Managing the development, support maintenance of Business Object universes, reports using SAP BOBI 4.2/4.3 Tools (UDT, IDT, WEB Intelligence, CMC, Promotional management)

- Proficient in creating and managing the BO universes using UDT and IDT.

- Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries.

- Performance Optimization in Reports and queries.

- Expertise in creating charts, graphs, crosstab reports using Web Intelligence.

- Expertise in creating reports with multiple universes and managing the reports.

- Experience in managing users and groups and assigning the security.

- Deploying and managing the BI content.

- Managing the security on BI content.

- An ability to independently research and troubleshoot any complex reporting issues

- Resolving the issues/incidents raised by users from the reporting perspective.

- Assisting with the user workshops to collect the dashboard/reporting requirements

- Assisting with the functional spec and working alongside the ETL developer (based in Bangalore/India) to do the technical mapping exercise including RCA analysis, upgrade analysis of the SQL views

- Developing the dashboards to present the data and findings in simpler way

PROFILE REQUIRED

- At least 6-8 years of experience as a Software developer/BO developer

- Strong data analysis skills particularly in the form of data manipulation and reporting in at least one of these (SAPBO4.X / Power BI / SSRS)

- Worked in the fast-paced environment handling the regular and ad hoc report deliveries

- Experience in developing the dashboards using any one of the dashboard tools like Tableau, QlikView, Power BI or google analytics platform

- Experience in User acceptance testing

- Good understanding of the relational databases RDBMS, data warehouse

- Good understanding of data management principles and data root cause analysis

- Leasing domain knowledge

- Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.

- Strong proficiency in writing & tuning SQL Queries and Good knowledge on Datawarehouse models

- Performance optimization in Reports & Queries

- Able to properly understand the business requirements & develop data models accordingly and transform into visuals

- Proficient in writing DAX expressions & advanced calculations and custom charts
