This role will have a direct line reporting to the EPW leadership in the US and will be a part of the GWG India leadership team.   EPW India leader will provide strategic leadership and day to day tactical direction in setting up and ramp-up of EPW organization in India – that deliver on retail operations, wealth management business process, brokerage, transaction processing, appropriate reporting, and analytics, as appropriate.  This role will also have oversight of the work migrations for EPW in India and will need to ensure that operational practices are in compliance with regulatory and policy guidelines.  Overall, this role will be responsible for managing budgets for the cost center, unit costs and for providing exceptional customer service for external and internal customers for Empower Personal Wealth organization. Primary Accountabilities:  Leadership Work closely with the EPW leadership team in the US to develop long-term strategic plans, establish India goals, plan for scale up and implementing the same. Provide leadership and direction to EPW operations ensuring the highest levels of quality, time and service standards. Continuously evaluate current portfolio and look at Identifying new opportunities for work migration. Build relationships with global stakeholders and set expectations. Responsible for operational budgets and tracking of the same. Provide operational leadership on retail operations, brokerage and other similar EPW processes as per need as we establish and scale EPW organization in India. Service Delivery Service delivery – consistently exceed Service Level Expectations, with no surprises to business. Oversee daily operations and institutionalize reporting mechanisms with the view to meet service delivery expectations. Analyze results, adjust, and improve as needed.  Develop and modify policies and processes to ensure all productively, efficiency, and cost effectiveness standards are met or exceeded. Work Migration - Smooth and seamless transitions of processes Drive superior end customer experience, develop appropriate scorecards to measure the same. Series 7 and Series 24 certified Establish best practices with prior experience on wealth management, brokerage and retail operations. Quality and Operational Excellence Drive excellence in execution by providing oversight and direction to the team keeping in mind quality, accuracy and vision for process training. Drive end-to-end process improvements, using Quality tools like Six Sigma/ Lean, and Automation to deliver year-on-year productivity and cost savings. Ensure Risk mitigation and financial control/ compliance. Facilitate audits of operating units, as and when required, to comply with various regulatory agencies policies and processes, including the SEC, FINRA, DOI, SOX, series 7 and 24, and internal audits. People Leadership Lead by example by living and driving Empower company culture across teams. Drive a professional and healthy work culture. Develop and motivate a large high-performing team. Build complex skills and deep domain knowledge in wealth management and retail operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related discipline (master’s degree in finance preferred) Minimum 18 years relevant work experience in financial services industry with prior experience on retail operations, wealth management and brokerage ~ 8 years’ experience in managing and directing a multi-functional organization including retail operations, wealth management, brokerage etc. Series 7 and Series 24 certified (highly desirable) Previous experience with planning, designing, and implementing major programs and business strategy. Reporting to the Director of Individual Savings and Retirement Income, the Asst Mgr Administration is responsible for leading a dedicated team that supports the administration of segregated fund related products.  This position is focused on providing the highest level of service to our field partners, clients and business partners while supporting the development and performance of the team. This role has the following responsibilities:  •    Effectively managing the day to day accountabilities of one of our segregated fund teams including workflow distribution, issue resolution, team development and performance management •    Answering enquiries and providing subject matter expertise to field partners and team members  •    Assisting with resolving escalated calls/questions received from advisors/clients •    Managing budgets, salary administration, headcount and employee records such as vacation, overtime and earned time  •    Conducting regular team and one on one meetings with staff to support team and individual performance and development •    Managing complaints/legal cases in partnership with subject matter experts such as Legal and/or Compliance as required •    Coaching stakeholders through change initiatives •    Ensuring audit controls are in place and being followed  with a focus on quality results •    Modeling behaviours that demonstrate a strong customer focus such a sense of urgency and desire for customer satisfaction seeing issues through to resolution •    Motivating the team to achieve peak performance and achieve their full potential To be successful in this role, the Asst Mgr, demonstrates these qualifications and competencies: •    A career progression that demonstrates experience and knowledge related to the investment industry (investment fund products preferred) and ability to provide exceptional customer service and coach others to achieve excellence in the field •    Experience as a leader demonstrating the ability to develop, coach, recruit and manage the performance and results of a team of administrative professionals  •    Ability to successfully identify and resolve complex and escalated issues from advisors and clients •    Ability to self-manage, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines in an unstructured and constantly changing environment •    Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing adapting to the unique needs of various stakeholders  •    Well developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders while working both independently and as part of a team •    Strong analytical skills and eye of for continuous improvement opportunities
