Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of product enhancements and new developments within the required period. In addition, you will be maintaining the test plans, test coverage, ensuring the reusability of tests and identifying automated tests. You will also provide reporting test metrics and progress reports to the test manager and related stakeholders all throughout the phases of SDLC. Ensuring team’s training and their alignment with the project delivery will be another key responsibility of this role.

 

You should hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Plan and perform thorough regression testing across various supported platforms.
  • Taking up presentations during the sprint demo and communications to stakeholders.
  • Work along with the designers , developers and product managers for planned and quality release.
  • Triage bugs reported and work towards reducing the number of client bugs reported in production.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, and training with 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Web, Mobile and API testing.
  • Experience / Knowledge of web and mobile automation testing.
  • Good to have knowledge on Performance testing using Jmeter.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases.
  • Experience with context driven testing / Exploratory testing and ability to think out of the box for test ideas.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum teams and fast paced environment.
  • Hands on experience on test management tools like Jira, Zephyr and Confluence
  • Experience working in product oriented qa teams.
  • Good to have: ISTQB, certifications*

Collaborate in an Agile engineering process as a member of a Scrum team, contributing to a high-quality deliverable product. Implement test solutions, create test engineering strategies, and drive automated functional test execution including integration and regression testing. Safeguard our platform’s high performance, high availability, interoperability, and reliability. Create and execute automated test cases from requirements and user stories, using Cypress and/or related frameworks (like Selenium, Cucumber) using Java or JavaScript. Manage moderate to high complexity, know when to seek help and avoid blocking, and proactively discover and attack issues.   What We're Seeking Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines. Strong knowledge and experience with QA Automation. Experience with creating, documenting, and executing test plans, implemented with automation for supporting repeatability and regression. Performance testing such as JMeter and custom frameworks. Experience testing RESTful Web services. Working experience of JMeter & Cypress Strong troubleshooting skills and with a complex enterprise architecture. Relational databases, SQL proficiency are required. Experience on teams leveraging Cloud services is required, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is preferred. Experienced and passionate with unit and functional testing, automated regression, and test integration. Experience on teams leveraging Containerization, with Docker/Kubernetes. Experience with Event Driven Architectures is a plus. Practical experience in Java programming is required, and additional languages or scripting languages are a plus. Experience with Java profilers is a plus, such as JProfiler or YourKit.
