Job summary

NetApp Cloud Volume Engineering is looking for a talented QA Engineer who thrives as part of a high-performance team tasked with finding creative solutions to the most profound data challenges customers face. Wielding cutting-edge technologies, you will help create new products and services that bring NetApp’s data fabric to every application, anywhere.
•    Work closely with development team to understand feature design, come up with test strategy and test cases.
•    Automating test cases written and executed as part of new feature testing; enabling automated regression runs for subsequent releases
•    Triage failures and determining root cause, filing defects in the Defect Tracking System and driving them to closure
•    Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally
 

Job requirements

•    Experience in designing and building Python based automated test frameworks for API and UI testing
•    Experience in developing automated tests using Python programming
•    Experience testing REST-based API
•    Experience in testing micro service-based service, hands on experience in setting up and maintain Kubernetes cluster
•    Experience using and administering projects in a continuous integration framework such as Jenkins
•    Strong background on Windows Server, Linux or other Unix-like Operating Systems
•    Collaborate with developers to diagnose, debug, and perform root cause analysis of issues and defects.
•    Lead/Mentor QA members and collaborate cross site QA/DEV stake holders to keep and maintain high quality
•    Use and drive metrics to facilitate decision making at all levels
•    Familiar with file system concepts and protocols such as:, NFS, SMB
•    Docker / Kubernetes knowledge is an added advantage – Microservice architecture.
•    Experience in Analysing Product  requirements and Designing Test strategy , Test plan and Test Execution 
 

Education

•     4 to 6+ years of experience in QA and automation
•     Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related stream

Collaborate in an Agile engineering process as a member of a Scrum team, contributing to a high-quality deliverable product. Implement test solutions, create test engineering strategies, and drive automated functional test execution including integration and regression testing. Safeguard our platform’s high performance, high availability, interoperability, and reliability. Create and execute automated test cases from requirements and user stories, using Cypress and/or related frameworks (like Selenium, Cucumber) using Java or JavaScript. Manage moderate to high complexity, know when to seek help and avoid blocking, and proactively discover and attack issues.   What We're Seeking Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines. Strong knowledge and experience with QA Automation. Experience with creating, documenting, and executing test plans, implemented with automation for supporting repeatability and regression. Performance testing such as JMeter and custom frameworks. Experience testing RESTful Web services. Working experience of JMeter & Cypress Strong troubleshooting skills and with a complex enterprise architecture. Relational databases, SQL proficiency are required. Experience on teams leveraging Cloud services is required, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is preferred. Experienced and passionate with unit and functional testing, automated regression, and test integration. Experience on teams leveraging Containerization, with Docker/Kubernetes. Experience with Event Driven Architectures is a plus. Practical experience in Java programming is required, and additional languages or scripting languages are a plus. Experience with Java profilers is a plus, such as JProfiler or YourKit.
