Job description 

As a Functional Analyst III in our Commerce Data & Financial Systemsteam, you will have the opportunity to design and build Expedia Group’s next-generation accounting platform. Your expertise will help drive long-term strategic direction, design requirements, features, functionality, and necessary enhancements. You will be responsible for collaborating with internal partners and stakeholders to implement effective solutions to support both strategic and tactical team needs.

 

What you'll do:

  • Implement best practices and own Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) configuration for the next-generation accounting platform.
  • Partner with product, engineering & accounting teams to deliver new platform capabilities.
  • Design, develop, and deliver functional processes for eCommerce financial integrations.
  • Own new features from design to production release.
  • Support development and execution of rollout strategies, transition plans, end-user training, and documentation

 

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle Financials (R12) in a complex, multinational environment.
  • Strong functional expertise in Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) combined with knowledge of GAAP Accounting.
  • At least 2 end-to-end Oracle FAH implementations.
  • Good technical understanding of FAH & General Ledger (GL) modules.
  • Experience analyzing data and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Oracle SAAS and/or implementations on Cloud PAAS/IAAS frameworks is a plus.

Common responsibilities include: leading planning sessions, triaging issues and risks, communicating with internal clients, promoting/mentoring agile practices and continuous improvement, and collaborating with engineering management.   What you'll do: Take ownership through every stage of the agile software development lifecycle Collaborate with product and engineering teams as well as other technical teams to design technical solutions and provide detailed specifications that satisfy scalability, reliability, and performance goals Lead mitigation of any risks to the project scope or schedule, and provide status updates Lead discussion of lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement into all agile processes Bring your talent at eliminating roadblocks for the team and anticipating issues based on previous experiences   Who you are: Bachelor's in computer science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience 5-7 years of industry experience in a professional technology organization, preferably e-commerce 3+ years of Program/Project Management and/or Scrum Master experience in a high-tech company, preferably in a B2C ecommerce environment Ahighlevel of initiative, passion, and desire to create a world-class user experience for customers Ademonstratedexperience driving agile software development with engineering, quality assurance, and functional teams Demonstrate understanding of functional and technical information (e.g. user flows, technical system design, and workflows) Able to clearly articulate decision-making rationale, solutions, methodologies, and frameworks Detail oriented, yet able to see a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters, problem solving skills is a requirement Excellent collaboration at all levels, with crisp and compelling verbal and written communication skills including presentation and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to varying audiences Consistently able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing engineering decisions effectively, and thriving in a dynamic and complex environment High degree of competency with program management including, Agile methodology, identifying and handling risks, tracking dependencies and milestones, while communicating overall program status Understand technical issues and business impact and present the details with data to management Scrum Master experience in a fast-paced software development environment Certified Scrum Master and/or Project Management a plus Prior experience with APIs and Databases Prior experience with cloud technologies preferred   About Expedia Group Expedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) powers travel for everyone, everywhere through our global platform.
