Technical Program Manager III

We are looking for a results-oriented, and enthusiastic Technical Program Manager to lead a strategically significant area on our Identity team. Working with our team requires a blend of business insight and technical skills shown through the ability to translate problems into impactful roadmaps and backlogs. You understand goals and define requirements in partnership with stakeholders, product management, and development teams to drive desired outcomes.

 

You have strong problem-solving skills and technical understanding. You can influence business and technical leaders in a versatile environment. Common responsibilities include: leading planning sessions, triaging issues and risks, communicating with internal clients, promoting/mentoring agile practices and continuous improvement, and collaborating with engineering management.

 

What you'll do:

Take ownership through every stage of the agile software development lifecycle

Collaborate with product and engineering teams as well as other technical teams to design technical solutions and provide detailed specifications that satisfy scalability, reliability, and performance goals

Lead mitigation of any risks to the project scope or schedule, and provide status updates

Lead discussion of lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement into all agile processes

Bring your talent at eliminating roadblocks for the team and anticipating issues based on previous experiences

 

Who you are:

Bachelor's in computer science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

5-7 years of industry experience in a professional technology organization, preferably e-commerce

3+ years of Program/Project Management and/or Scrum Master experience in a high-tech company, preferably in a B2C ecommerce environment

Ahighlevel of initiative, passion, and desire to create a world-class user experience for customers

Ademonstratedexperience driving agile software development with engineering, quality assurance, and functional teams

Demonstrate understanding of functional and technical information (e.g. user flows, technical system design, and workflows)

Able to clearly articulate decision-making rationale, solutions, methodologies, and frameworks

Detail oriented, yet able to see a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters, problem solving skills is a requirement

Excellent collaboration at all levels, with crisp and compelling verbal and written communication skills including presentation and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to varying audiences

Consistently able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing engineering decisions effectively, and thriving in a dynamic and complex environment

High degree of competency with program management including, Agile methodology, identifying and handling risks, tracking dependencies and milestones, while communicating overall program status

Understand technical issues and business impact and present the details with data to management

Scrum Master experience in a fast-paced software development environment

Certified Scrum Master and/or Project Management a plus

Prior experience with APIs and Databases

Prior experience with cloud technologies preferred

Do you love working with a creative engineering team in building an intelligent, scalable, and personalized travel assistance platform? Do you want to create a world-class React web application with a rich and intuitive user interface that will be used by business partners in the travel industry? Our goal is to build the best portal experience for the conversational bot platform that can allow easy management for our business partners.   As a Front-end Software Development Engineer, you will prototype, design, and implement various portal capabilities in collaboration with teammates. You would have experience building and supporting public-facing web applications which are interactive, performant, and at scale.   Key technologies we use: Required: React, Redux, Javascript, Node.js, HTML, CSS Preferred: AWS, Git, Splunk, Jenkins(modern build systems), Express   What you'll do: Participate in the design, development, and deployment efforts of multiple enterprise application projects to solve complex business problems Own and deliver tested and optimized high-performance code for public-facing, enterprise web portals applications Participate in the resolution of production issues and develop solutions to prevent future issues from happening again Collaborate with Team Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers in an agile development environment Teach and mentor junior developers in project implementation methodology   Who you are: Bachelor’s or Master's in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience 5+ years of experience in software development Applies software design principles, data structures and/or design patterns, and computer science fundamentals to write code that is clean, maintainable, optimized, and modular with good naming conventions A self-starter who delivers/owns software end to end with little oversight Is good at documentation, whether code or technical docs Understands the Importance of collaboration and proactively reaches out intra/inter teams to solve problems Have an eye for monitoring and testing Strong verbal and written communication skills Contributions to open-source projects would be a plus   About Expedia Group Expedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) powers travel for everyone, everywhere through our global platform.
