How you will make an impact

In this role, you will support email operations for the Biosciences Division (BID) within the Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG). You will implement marketing automation campaigns for the business end-to-end.

 

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, a self-starter, a creative problem solver, and analytical. Working in a fast paced environment, you should constantly be looking for opportunities to improve performance and operational efficiency. The successful candidate must maintain a current understanding of email marketing processes and methodologies, and apply them to the execution of our campaigns in collaboration with the BID Email Marketing team.

 

This role requires the ability to handle several sophisticated projects at any one time with minimal oversight. Flexibility is important as you may need to respond quickly to regional or team requests. Most importantly, you should expect to develop a keen understanding of the requirements and objectives of each campaign, be proactive, have a positive demeanor, and support the team.

 

What you will do

  • Build and modify automated email marketing campaigns end-to-end, using tools like Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Eloqua.
  • Create custom audience segments based on business parameters for use in email marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain current Sessions and Flowcharts (MAPs) to ensure emails are delivering accurately.
  • Offer thoughtful advice and recommendations on ways to optimize processes.
  • Document system integrations, processes, and technical knowledge.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of new and existing campaigns.
  • Employ data management and data cleanse standard processes to ensure data integrity. This includes working closely with our internal analytics team to ensure reporting is accurate.

 

How will you get here?

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related major required.

 

Experience

  • 2+ years experience with B2C or B2B email and/or mobile marketing.
  • Hands-on experience setting up, implementing, and measuring marketing automation campaigns using Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Platform, or like platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with a major ESP (Email Service Provider) such as Eloqua, Responsys, Exact Target, Marketo, etc.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand data sources, data mapping, campaign logic, and campaign performance (value analysis and recommendations). Ability to analyze large and sophisticated sets of data from multiple sources (transactional, web analytics, and lead generation).
  • Proficiency working with structured databases and fluency in SQL required.
  • Knowledge of HTML with hands-on experience with HTML editing tools (Eloqua, Atom, Sublime, Dreamweaver, etc).
  • Proactive problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and, resolution.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to iterate and learn quickly.

How will you make an impact?   Drive on-time paid search, paid social, and programmatic display digital campaign execution efforts for the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division, nested under the Analytical Instruments Group.   This role works with the Paid Media lead and is based in Bangalore, India.
