We are hiring for the position of Production Manager at ABB in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. This is a full-time on-site opportunity. As a Production Manager, your responsibilities include leading capacity planning, optimizing resources, ensuring production scheduling and plan meet volume requirements, identifying technical equipment and facility improvements, and managing production performance. You will also be responsible for resolving critical product or equipment issues and guiding, motivating, and developing subordinates. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree with 10 to 15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of scheduling, Lean manufacturing, ERP (SAP), and organizational change management is required.

Your responsibilities

 

  • Leading capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned area
  • Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels
  • Identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary
  • Ensuring execution of volume, conforming product and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines
  • Identifying deficiencies in production area, propose improvement activities, and oversee implementation of actions to improve production performance
  • Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams
  • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
  • Guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

 

Your background

 

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing environment required.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and production control processes; supply chain insourcing and outsourcing decisions and process
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience and leadership and management
  • Advanced understanding of excel and other database tools
  • Strong ERP experience (SAP) Torque and AMSAP
  • Experience in organizational change and change management
