You will own Commercial Proposal activity globally and drive consistent common global processes for Inquiry to Order. You will carry out activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer.
 

As a Commercial Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Providing technical expertise and developing technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc) as part of the pre-ITO (requisition) process while interfacing with the commercial team.
  • Having a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aids winning bid strategies.
  • Collaborating with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
  • Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies relevant to the market opportunities
  • Communicating individual customer requirements for the Sales Manager in regard to design and quotation
  • Communicating requirements for order fulfilment to sourcing and operations
  • Reviewing and influencing customer specifications to ensure compliance and/or noted exceptions for the development of equipment and service quotations.
  • Making technical presentations to all levels of customer organization
  • Managing and negotiating commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process.
  • Contributing positively to regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality goals

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have BE/BTech in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Have exposure to Sizing & Selection of Safety Relief Valves
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Have good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Be able to work independently and have good problem-solving skills.
