Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Study of drawings & standard
  • Design fabrication sequence to execute entire object
  • Find out opportunity of improvement in each structure to reduce time & cost.
  • Find out ways of doing activities in most safe manner & enhance quality.
  • Co-ordinate with production on day to day affair & ensure progress as desired.
  • Prepare nesting plans for plate cutting on CNC gas/plasma cutting machine
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing sequence with each step, to give clarity to technicians.
  • Ensures experience and lessons learned are properly fed back to FMEA analysis
  • Maintain and Update Skill Matrix of all technician along with their development plan.
  •  

EHS & Quality:

  • Zero deviation in Safety standards, Promote Open Reporting for EHS & quality concerns.
  • Exemplify a safety-first mindset and ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
  • supporting tooling related FMEA & RCA’s.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Production
  • 5+ years hands on experience in fabrication shop/planning
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Knowledge in Power PLM.
  • Well versed with MS-Office, SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of plate nesting software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members
  • Experience in Heavy Fabrication Work.
  • Knowledge in Fabrication processes i.e. Cutting, Bending, Rolling, Welding, Heat Treatment
  • Basic knowledge of various welding processes

Responsible for Special processes including Heat treatment, Brazing, Honeycomb brazing & Air flow for materials like Inconel, Stainless steel, Rene, Hastelloy, GTD222 etc. Identifying customer requirements and its flow down through work instructions, Routers and procedures. Define requirements for production capacity, initial acceptance quality, estimating cycle time, manufacturing test equipment, and documentation for your product line. Verification of process control parameters, inspection records -review and sign off, trouble shooting and problem solving related to process and equipment. Daily monitoring of air flow process equipment, and process control verification, trend analysis etc. Daily monitoring of vacuum furnace operation, maintenance checks of vacuum furnace and maintenance logs and related documentation Should know braze alloy application process and can select between different alloy forms like foil/powder/paste/wire/tape etc. as per the process requirement. Qualification and Training of operators on the special processes and related equipment. Maintaining skill matrix and preparing their skill enhancement plan for the year. Experience in preparing calibration requirement and reviewing the calibration certificates of Furnace and air flow equipment’s and gauges. Co-ordination with QA and calibration team for the same and ensuring process and quality compliance.
