Job Description

The manager, Product Operations will be responsible for the following -

  1. Defining and overseeing the best PM practices for product lifecycle management e.g., new product introduction, end-of-life process for a product, roadmapping process and tools, release planning, release training, Product Usage data, etc. 
  2. Defining and managing the process/template for Product management Budgeting, Product Strategic reviews, Portfolio analysis, P&L, KPIs, etc.
  3. Defining and overseeing the best practices for cross-functional flows driven by product management e.g. Solution Partner onboarding, Voice of the customer, Customer Advisory boards, etc. This role would be interfacing closely with partner stakeholders (sales, marketing, engineering, and customer success).

Nature and scope of influence this position has on its area of responsibility/operation 

  • Work with SVP, Product management to articulate a comprehensive multi-product solution, ensuring coherence between product manager strategies and market needs.
  • Implement standards, processes, and tools to be followed by Product managers: information gathering, identifying market needs, quantifying market opportunities, evaluating feature ideas, performing cost-benefit analyses, articulating and communicating product roadmap
  • Manage the process/template for Product management Budgeting, Product Strategic reviews, Portfolio analysis, and P&L
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and Customer Success to manage cross-functional flows driven by product management e.g. Solution Partner onboarding, Voice of the customer, Customer Advisory boards, etc. 
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and drive product adoption.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to gather feedback and ensure customer needs are met.

Qualifications

  • Education: Professional degree: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Graduate Program (MBA, MIB, or Masters): MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product operations.  Three years in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Computer skills:  Strong understanding of SaaS products and the ability to apply market trends and customer insights to drive product strategy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and growing successful businesses.

What you will do: Collaborate with product management to craft user-centered experiences using personas, storyboards, user journeys, and flowcharts. Represent the user’s point of view throughout the software development lifecycle. Consult and provide UX training and resources to QAD product teams to grow organizational UX maturity and skillsets. Design wireframes, prototypes, and final delivery mockups and documentation to illustrate design solutions that provide effective, efficient, and intuitive user experiences. Work closely with product management, engineering, senior leaders, and other stakeholders to define UX vision and strategy. Conduct outside-in research to gain deep understanding of “real world” customer needs and business goals, collect feedback and insights in order to drive design work. Verify and improve on designs through reviews, validations, and usability testing with end users. Present insights, ideas, and concepts to stakeholders for UX deliverables. Qualifications   Professional degree: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in HCI, graphic design, psychology, or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of professional experience  in product design, preferably in the ERP industry and/or with complex enterprise applications. Expert skills in interaction design with an excellent grasp of the UX process. Story telling - ability to tell simple user stories illustrating solutions. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Agile, adaptable, and capable of coordinating and delivering new products and features. Good aesthetic sense and attention to details. Expertise in creating mockups and/or clickable high fidelity prototypes based on an existing style. Experience with conducting user research. Computer skills:  Expertise with one or more wireframing or web design tools, such as Axure, Figma, AdobeXD, Balsamiq, or Illustrator is required. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JS, etc. Familiarity with user interface guidelines and best practices for major platforms (iOS, MacOS, Windows, Google, web design best practices) and an understanding of the limitations and tradeoffs of using various development technologies and standards (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.) Strong written and verbal English language skills.
