WHAT YOU'LL DO


Be part of a team that is transforming BCG into a bionic company! We are seeking a senior leader to bring our Agile vision to reality in the Personal Productivity (PP) space. Our mission is to deliver innovative, best-in-class experiences with high performance, trusted, stable and secure personal productivity products (e.g. laptops, virtual desktops, mobile & tablet devices, productivity applications, etc.) that continuously improve BCGers’ personal productivity & excitement for our tools.

To meet the needs of BCG’s global, fast growing and increasingly diverse business, we need a portfolio of personal productivity tools that seamlessly enables day-to-day work of our staff. In the coming few years, the IT Security Engineer Specialist will drive progress towards the tribe’s vision in the following ways

  • Drive secure computing experiences, with security built in up front – not bolted on after the fact
  • UX and data-led innovation
  • Operational excellence

In partnership with your team members, your duties will include:

  • Focusing on defense in depth and intelligent compliance by default in your configurations and activities.
  • Assisting with the improvement of technical solutions for multiple use cases
  • Executing vulnerability management and event detection activities on existing PP solutions as determined by our Enterprise Security Services team
  • Partnering with our Secure Data squad to perform ongoing adjustments/tuning to our Data Loss Prevention, Device management and security enablement products
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and streamline our security response and policy configuration on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as an escalation point for issues that are high visibility and criticality. Partner with Local IT and external vendor partners for issues causing regional/global outages.
  • Support other areas of the Personal Productivity portfolio as needed


 

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Entrepreneurial and creative thinking to develop concepts and solutions to resolve the firm’s most challenging secure productivity needs
  • Security and compliance mindset, combined with an ability to think around the corner and identify problems and patterns before most others
  • Strong comprehensive problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly

  • Working in an agile environment and using Jira to create, manage, and track stories
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills


 

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Understanding of Security Controls Framework and Operational Excellence procedures and protocols
  • Strong knowledge of the security and compliance product market
  • Working knowledge of scripting tools like Powershell, PowerAutomate, and API consumption is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of productivity tools and operating systems such as the M365 suite, Adobe acrobat, Windows 10/11, MacOS, iOS and Android
  • Experience within complex enterprise organizations with a multi-vendor ecosystem, showing the ability to make these disparate offerings co-exist, and being able to identify and solution for pain points and gaps
  • Proven experience of solving complex problems by delivery of a simple and effective solution
  • Level C2 English proficiency as demonstrated by IELTS 7+, TOEFL iBT 94+, TOEIC 901+, CAMBRIDGE CPE, or comparable demonstrated proficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Working as part of a global IT team, your role will be to develop a microservices platform for BCG. You will work closely with consumers of the platform to gather and implement feedback using best practices for DevSecOp. You should also be comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders to help present and evangelize the platform. BCG is a consensus culture and a key to success in this role will be the ability to engage staff, foster collaboration and partner with others in a way that supports and enables our business.   YOU'RE GOOD AT Resolving complex issues/problems and able to independently bring in the right resources at the right time to assist when necessary Consultative approach to working especially when interacting with team members and stakeholders as you will need to possess the ability to influence direction, articulate risks and sell secure solutions/roadmaps Good at building and maintaining relationships with team members including team members located in different offices. Used to working in Agile development teams. Working with offshore development teams as you will be based in London or Boston and you will be working with teams in New Delhi.
