Summary Description:

As a Marketing Cloud Data and Audience Specialist, you will enable our B2C campaign efforts within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. You will serve as a subject matter expert on the platform, expanding upon its capabilities for maximum delivery of omnichannel and personalized experiences.  You will consult and advise internal marketing stakeholders to further their digital marketing efforts through Marketing Cloud usage. You will act as a trusted source of knowledge to advise clients in line with email marketing and Marketing Cloud best practices to ultimately build a vision for a multi-channel roadmap.

Responsibilities

This is a varied delivery role, with the following responsibilities:

  • Design and delivery of B2C campaign solutions (emails, journeys, landing pages, forms, etc) including audience segmentation and research.
  • Be a subject marketing expert in all things email marketing and stay on top of best practices and industry trends; ensure compliance with consumer protection laws as applicable.
  • Work closely with marketing stakeholders to understand audience requirements, business goals and objectives review campaign and deliverability metrics, making recommendations for optimization and improvement.
  • Update, develop and test new email templates, and build a library of assets for retrieval and reuse.
  • Perform A/B testing along with suggestions for improvement pre-, mid- and post-flight.
  • Design and implement, for automated email/mobile journeys using Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio and Journey Builder, and advise clients on how to optimize further.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing KPIs, such as email marketing, PPC and other marketing conversion metrics,
  • Experience in reporting and analyzing email activity using Email Studio reports and Journey Builder. (Nice to have) proficiency with Data Views and Discover Reports within Analytics Builder, Einstein Engagement.
  • Design and/or build integrations between Marketing Cloud and 3rd party applications or data sources.
  • Conduct user training and actively promote user adoption of Marketing Cloud.
  • Track record for delivering marketing automation projects in a fast-paced environment, and able to successfully keep to deadlines.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud configuration, data migration, and working with Marketing Cloud Connect, and other Integrations.

 

Required:

  • Ability to work with clients to design customer journeys, and associated data models. Extensive experience with Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders, most importantly Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder and Automation Studio, and ideally also Cloud Pages and Mobile Studio.
  • Understanding how to build a custom preference center.
  • Conceptual understanding, to be able to establish data models, work with API’s and configurations
  • Knowledge of programming languages in SFMC: AMPScript, HTML and CSS, SSJS and/or JavaScript, SQL (andQuery Studio experience) or Guide Template Language).
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM (Sales & Service Cloud, Communities)
  • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be a good team player.
  • Clear communication skills to make complex technical matters simple when communicating with non-technical stakeholders and client executives.

Desirable/bonus:

  • Desirable experience: Datarama, Informatica/Jitterbit/Talend/Dell Boomi, Interaction Studio, Commerce Cloud, Salesforce CDP, Advertising Studio, Social Studio
  • Experience with Google Analytics (360), Adobe Analytics, Datarama
  • Active in the Salesforce Trailblazer community

Required Qualifications and Background

  • At least 6 years’ experience working hands-on in Marketing Cloud involving campaign strategy and execution and some integration with Salesforce core and other platforms.
  • Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant
  • Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
