Job summary

As a support engineer, you will support, debug, troubleshoot programs in Master Data Management – Install Base Data Platform. Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system. Note: May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.
 

Job requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills.
  • Extensive troubleshooting skills.

Must have working experience in one or more of the following skills: 

  • Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and RHEL commands.
  • Hands-on experience in Python programming and data processing.
  • Experience with ETL processes using Pyspark and conducting code reviews.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, optimizing, and administrating Apache Spark clusters.

Additional skills - .

  • Experience in Apache Airflow administration and workflow orchestration 
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes pods and containerization technologies.
  • Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Should have ability to work with GIT or other Distributed Version Control Systems (DVCS)
  • In-depth understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Work on the below items
    • Data Re-Publish from Master Data systems to all other systems
    • Month end activities. 
    • Weekly release activities
    • Data Reconciliation and Audit activities 
    • Reporting activity: Monthly Summary 
    • Data Analysis for issues reported by business 
    • Handling Data feeds
    • RCA for P1/P2 
    • Debug on data mismatches between source and target systems: 
    • Ticket management using SNOW: triage, prioritization, assignment, tracking and closure 
    • Weekly and Monthly reporting 
    • Problem Management, Incident quality 
    • Change Management 
    • SOX compliance

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent and a minimum of 3-8 years of related experience.
