As a member of the technical writing team, you will:
What will your job look like?
• Draft publications that explain the company’s products to its customers and internal audience and allows full use of its functionality.
• Understand applications with end user point of view, create and upgrade user manuals and help files.
• Ensure that documentation meets industry standards of quality, usability and format using writing expertise and product knowledge.
• Assume full responsibility for all official documents of product applications and create and maintain the application's documentation and/or training framework, as well as the content of its publications.
• Continuously gain knowledge of product's new functionality via attendance at Design Review, Focus Team, Opportunity Team, and Scrum meetings as well as reading design documents, interviewing SMEs and using the product itself. Use this knowledge to independently create new version documents.
• Estimate time and effort required for documentation tasks and contribute to documentation plans.
• Conduct peer-review on documentation for other members of the Technical Publications team.
• The work will require a clear understanding of the iterative nature of the documentation life-cycle. Will require initiative as a leading contributor individually and as a cohesive team member, providing assistance, direction, and mentoring to others.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering in Computer Science, or IT, or an M.A. in English with a very good understanding of technology or equivalent experience.
Additional Details:
• 4-5 years of experience in writing technical documentation for end-users and administrators that complies with company style standards, requiring minimal rework during editing and review process.
• Experience in reviewing documentation to ensure quality and consistency of style standards.
• Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger team at all stages of end-to-end documentation including analysis, development, and application.
• Demonstrate excellent project management skills; anticipate problems and develop contingency plans for projects.
• Ability to grasp and communicate technical and functional concepts concisely and effectively.
• Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, schedule, and meet aggressive deadlines following Agile.
• Must possess a good understanding of the document development life cycle.
• Interest in learning new concepts and functions.
• Willingness to learn a new documentation strategy, and a desire to contribute to the development and improvement of that strategy.
Is familiar or has experience with technical writing tools, such as Oxygen, DITA BitBucket, GIT, Confluence.
