Walmart continues to grow an elite Information Security team. Network Security is responsible for protecting our company's network from attacks. We are seeking a talented individual to assist us in the following areas


 What you'll do:

  • Responsible for designing and implementing security policies utilizing Next Generation Firewall technologies.
  • Manages the design and implementation of the Internet Security stack
  • Integrate new systems and applications with existing environments.
  • Assist with the decommission or migration of existing environments.
  • Assist with vulnerability mitigation.
  • Write operation documents as necessary describing base security requirements and architecture.
  • Document policies and operating procedures.
  • Participate Incident, Change management and On-call rotation


What you'll bring:

  • Hands of experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls, Cisco ISE, Tipping Point and Wireless technologies.
  • Expertise in NGFW and its methodologies. 
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with any of the products listed, including F5, Proxy, FireEye, and Proofpoint
  • Knowledge of IDPS functionality and procedures.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management platforms.
  • Ability to utilize identity and access governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of PCI requirements pertaining to security, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Basic system administration skills for the Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities in a TCP/IP environment.
  • Basic understanding of cloud networking
  • Familiar with fundamental networking concepts.
  • Independent problem solver; self-directed, self-starting.
  • Ability to prioritize and work issues via the ticketing system.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic operations environment.
  • Experience building and maintaining automated alerts and dashboards
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language
  • A desire to work collaboratively in a small, cross-functional team
  • A strong sense of accountability and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field and 2 years’ work experience OR
  • 10+ years work experience in Information Security in a related discipline

Essential Functions The responsibilities of a Component Engineer will generally be as follows, somewhat in this order of priorities: Aiding supply-chain and manufacturing in obtaining new and critical parts by first filtering through alternative component options and working with a larger team to determine the fitness of these options.
