Core Responsibilities
- Produce the analysis & documentation required to progress assigned Projects through Discovery Analysis and End to End Project Delivery
- Working closely with Business and Technical Owners, and a collaborative Project Team to gather, validate and drive the aligned Scope, Requirements and RAIDs inputs throughout the Project Delivery
- Facilitate working sessions driving active collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines including virtual teams at all levels
- Support the Senior Analysts with continuous improvements and enhancements on all aspects of the team’s structure, processes, and people
- Work with Service and Application Owners and architects to produce solutions that meet the business need
- Ensure all projects assigned to you have agreed goals, business benefits, success criteria, scope and stakeholder responsibilities
- Define and document the high-level functional and non-functional requirements and prioritise them
- Work with internal and 3rd party development teams providing them with user stories and detailed acceptance criteria
- Work with internal and 3rd party test teams to support them in completing end-to-end testing of systems and interfaces, identifying and resolving problems and supporting acceptance testing with the user
- Advise the business on the technical feasibility and IT implications of requirements and offer alternatives solutions where necessary
- Ensure any risks to projects assigned to you are raised with the Project Manager.
Employees at all levels are expected to:
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst working on complex projects
- Exposure to key stakeholders including at HoD and Management level
- An in-depth understanding of the software delivery lifecycle and experience of working on projects from business case to implementation
- Experience of delivering analysis on multiple small/medium-scale programmes of work concurrently
- Business and systems analysis skills in identifying, documenting, prioritizing and presenting business requirements and translating them for IT purposes.
- Experience of facilitating workshops and explaining complex information to business stakeholders.
- Experience of presenting solutions and gaining stakeholder acceptance.
- Communication skills including the ability to present a range of options and make a justified recommendation.
- Relationship management skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders; including senior stakeholders.
- Desirable – experience of Infrastructure or Cloud projects; Agile delivery methods and or knowledge of a relevant business area (e.g. private cloud, public cloud or Infrastructure)
- An ability to successfully engage in both business and technical analytical work
- An enthusiastic “can do” attitude, with energy and drive, the confidence to act alone but the maturity to work well within a diverse team with analysts at all levels of capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Confident is presenting to key stakeholders
