Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design System Management:

• Lead the development, documentation, and evolution of our design system to establish consistent visual and interaction patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and product managers to ensure alignment with design principles and brand guidelines.
• Continuously refine and expand the design system to accommodate new components, features, and user interactions.

UI Library Development:

• Build and maintain a library of reusable UI components for applications developed in React, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Develop intuitive and responsive UI components that enhance user experience and ensure consistent design aesthetics.
• Ensure the UI library is well-documented, easy to understand, and accessible to all development teams.

UI/UX Design: 

• Collaborate closely with product designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance user experiences, taking into account usability, accessibility, and user feedback.
• Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to iterate on UI/UX designs and improve user satisfaction.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular reviews and audits of UI components and design patterns to ensure they meet design guidelines, functionality, and performance standards.
• Identify and address design inconsistencies or issues across applications and provide solutions for improvement.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers to integrate UI components seamlessly into React applications. 
• Provide guidance and support to development teams in implementing UI/UX best practices and utilizing the UI library effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in UI/UX design, particularly in creating and managing design systems and UI libraries for React applications. 
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar.
• Strong understanding of React, Angular and frontend technologies, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles, accessibility guidelines, and mobile-first design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Portfolio showcasing past UI/UX design work, design system contributions.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
