About this role
The MDM Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing a Master Data Management (MDM) strategy for the BT. The MDM Strategist will work with various teams within the organization to identify business requirements, data sources, and data governance policies to develop a comprehensive MDM strategy that meets the organization's needs. The strategist will also be responsible for ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy across the organization's data sources.
Skills required
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in Master Data Management, data governance, or data quality management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Proficiency in MDM tools and technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data architecture concepts is a plus.
Key responsibility
• To Develop and implement a comprehensive MDM strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business goals and objectives.
• Data Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of master data records in the MDM system.
• Work with data stewards and subject matter experts to define and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
• Data Mapping: Create and maintain data mapping documentation to ensure alignment between various data sources and the MDM system.
• Data Quality: Identify and resolve data quality issues by conducting data analysis, root cause analysis, and data cleansing activities.
• Work with various business teams to identify data sources, business requirements, and data governance policies to support the MDM strategy.
• Implement data quality processes and standards to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organization's data sources.
• Create and maintain a data governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
o Document the DQAs contribution to other projects and participate in cross-functional teams
o Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and support data-related initiatives
