We are looking for a candidate with excellent knowledge and experience in Solaris Build. You will be responsible for CDOM and LDOM Installation, Solaris 10 and 11 administration tasks, troubleshooting UNIX infra support, Live upgradation and patching activities. Good understanding of other UNIX flavors like Linux, HPUX & AIX is preferred. Strong scripting skills in Ansible, Shell, and Python are required. Knowledge of Veritas Cluster and Volume Manager, networking, and storage technology is also essential. Previous experience with storage migration and cluster upgradation is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with Converged and Hyper Converged Infrastructure would be an advantage.

Job Accountabilities

Solaris Build

  • Excellent knowledge on CDOM and LDOM Installation (Jumpstart and AI) and configuration.
  • Excellent Knowledge on Solaris 10 and 11 administration tasks.
  • Excellent understanding of VCS and VXVM installation and configuration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills expected related with UNIX infra support.
  • Excellent knowledge of Live upgradation and patching actives
  • Excellent understanding of T7 and T8 series hardware.
  • Excellent Knowledge on PV2 migration activities
  • Good understanding of other UNIX flavors like Linux, HPUX & AIX (Preferred Linux)
  • Good understanding of zones and branded zones installation and configuration.
  • Good understanding of Snapshots, Quotas, Reservations in ZFS and SVM Administration and configuration
  • Excellent knowledge of scripting languages (Ansible, Shell, Python)

Veritas Cluster and Volume Manager

  • Must have good understanding of VCS & VXVM installation and configuration.
  • Hands on experience of configuring VXVM & VCS cluster
  • Should have worked on storage migration activities and cluster upgradation
  • Must have good exposure on configuration of Veritas Failover cluster and VXVM volume manager
  • Scripting skills would be added advantage
  • Knowledge of Converged and Hyper Converged Infrastructure is added advantage
