Job Role

Role & Responsibility:

Solaris  Security Patching:

  • Analyze the patch requirement for different Solaris OS versions
  • Plan the patch management and implement for the servers in scope.
  • Redundancy planning for security patching.
  • Excellent knowledge on virtualization (CDOM/LDOM, Zones & containers) and troubleshooting knowledge  HA environment using Solaris  or Veritas Cluster
  • Troubleshooting network issues related to cluster configuration
  • Excellent Knowledge on Solaris administration tasks
  • Excellent understanding of Oracle hardware and troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of other UNIX flavors like HP-UX/AIX and Linux
  • Good understanding Solaris virtualization.

Cluster:

  • Must have Good understanding of VCS & VXVM installation and configuration.
  • Must have Good understanding of MC Serviceguard administartion and configuration.
