As an integral part of the Azure engineering organization, the Customer Experience team (CXP) provides direct assistance from our engineers to help customers design, develop, and build Azure solutions quickly and confidently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Engineering Lead, you will manage a team of Engineers to directly engage software companies and start-ups and translate their business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. You'll work across a range of scenarios including new cloud-native apps, single-tenant apps transforming into a multi-tenancy, and apps migration from on premises or competitive clouds.

 Your areas of responsibilities include:

  • Lead a diverse & high performing team.
  • Create an inclusive work environment where every employee can contribute and be part of a team.
  • Be a thought leader and share knowledge with others through management best practices, solution documents, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions, and create training.
  • Interact daily across your team to provide technical action plans and take ownership of escalations.
  • Partner with various Azure Engineering domain experts to scope and build content, modules, tools, and proof of concepts.
  • Stay current on latest Azure/Cloud innovations, and act as a subject matter trainer for other engineers.

QUALIFICATION

  • Strong experience as a people manager of diverse teams with strong people development skills.
  • Cloud software industry experience.
  • Microsoft Azure experience with depth knowledge in particular Application, Infrastructure and/or Data solutions a plus.
  • Experience working with software companies or start-ups.
  • Keen ability to communicate ideas effectively with executives and engineering teams.
  • Have excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations; to lead projects and teams to motivate others.
