JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a candidate with solid exposure to performance management as a core HR function to join our Core Human Capital (CHC) team in Hyderabad as a Specialist/Senior Specialist. The Performance Management team is responsible for designing and deploying the performance management processes at D. E. Shaw India (DESIS).

What you’ll do day-to-day

In this position, you will be required to work with a multitude of stakeholders to continuously evaluate and execute performance management processes in manners that uphold the spirit of merit-based performance evaluation, further leading to necessary downstream career milestones like promotions, succession planning, etc. Apart from the execution of core performance management-related processes and operations, you will be involved in customizing materials and conducting training and awareness sessions across business groups. You will also be expected to create and maintain SOPs and any process-related documentation as required. Additionally, you will develop relevant performance management reports, interpret data, and identify trends and performance insights on a need-by-need basis. Furthermore, you will ensure that business partners get sufficient insights on performance management matters and work with them to enable the implementation of performance improvement plans as required.

Who we’re looking for

  • The ideal candidate should have experience as an HR professional with significant exposure to and understanding of employee performance management and 1.5-4 years of relevant experience
  • The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of performance management concepts and best practices and the ability to leverage these while collaborating with HR business partners
  • Candidate should have proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, understand trends, and generate relevant insights
  • The candidate should have experience working with modern performance management tools/platforms and should be able to leverage this exposure while working with teams on designing, testing, and deploying performance management platforms and modules
  • The ideal candidate should have proficient data management (Excel/PowerBI) and presentation skills (PowerPoint)
  • Candidate should have the ability to create and deliver content that is differentiated for various stakeholder groups
  • The candidate should have excellent communication skills, necessary project management abilities, and the ability to work
  • with multiple stakeholders across geographies while working on parallel projects and milestones
  • Candidates with COE (Centre of Excellence) role experience will have an added advantage
  • Candidates with experience working with Tech/Systems teams in designing/deploying performance management platforms are encouraged to apply
