Capital Projects Lead

The Capital Projects Lead is responsible for delivering appropriate real estate capital projects across Accenture businesses in their respective geographical market. The Capital Projects Lead reports into their Market Unit/Country Capital Projects Lead or Workplace Lead, for CL7+ there is a dual reporting line into the Market Capital projects Lead.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Lead the end-to-end design & delivery processes of real estate projects that, both respond to the business needs and is aligned with Accenture’s Global policies, processes & standards for buildings (workplace, environmental, inclusivity, life-safety, security, technology etc.) while ensuring design compliance with local norms & nuances, local codes and regulations and supports reductions in future real estate operating costs

Manage or support the vendor identification, recommendation for selection and onboarding process in conjunction with Procurement i.e., Project Manager, Architect, Engineer, Cost Manager, Acoustician, Furniture vendors, General Contractors etc. in line with established tool-kits where relevant.

Manage and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across the planning, design and construction stages of each project

Develop and monitor the project schedule leveraging best practice Capital Projects project management with early identification and reporting of risks and mitigations; status of works based on key milestones

Support capital planning initiatives with the preparation and submission of capital budget estimates with supporting relevant local market cost benchmarks (both in terms of accurate costs and timing of expenditure) for incorporation into the AP 20 business case and overall MU budget request.

Manage regular reporting against the agreed capital budget estimate including overseeing financial close out

Coordinate project & design reviews at key project stages to RE leadership to ensure design complies with global guidelines and performance metrics

Manage the timely engagement and coordination with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Workplace Solutions, Technology, Security, Life Safety, Sustainability etc) to ensure our building related requirements are captured and accounted for early in the design and budget estimates

Work with RE Portfolio Management Lead as required to plan and implement local/regional portfolio plans.

Work closely as required with the RE, MU Workplace Leadership and CIO to provide required inputs to support new/evolving real estate and workplace needs or local/regional portfolio planning.

 

RELATIONSHIPS

Work closely with the Corporate Real Estate Team, ANZ Workplace Leadership and External Consultants.

Reporting to: Workplace Real Estate Senior Manager

Stakeholders: ANZ GS Lead, ANZ Workplace lead and tther corporate/GS functions and Internal clients and supplier partners.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management will be preferred

10 to 15 years of relevant experience
