Job Description:
Would you like to work in a very challenging environment where your technical and
negotiating skills will be an asset? The Airworthiness Team in India is looking for an
experienced engineer who can be developed for a Designated Airworthiness Engineer
(DAE) role for Retrofit and Upgrades activity in Airbus India, Bangalore, working with the
Airworthiness & Certification – Services department in Toulouse, France.
The selected candidate will exercise privileges under Airbus Design Organization
Approval (DOA) granted by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and ensure
certification documents are provided for allocated certification tasks.
Main Tasks:
Screening meeting:
CTK categorization, understand how the proposed changes will fit with the already
existing solutions (mod stacking principal are key to understand). What and where are
the gaps.
Upgrade organizations handle only "Known" and "Close to Known" designs changes
with C SIM as the design organization. "New" designs changes are handled by Airbus
design office (1xx) with CTD for approvals.
TRS Review and Tech Dom
For cabin a lot of Regulations are affected for CTK with a limited number of new means
of compliance (MoC).
For system, a lower number of impacted regulations. MoC is rarely needed. Use of MoC
0 (statement).
For this subtask, familiarity with the change and approval processes and also applicable
regulations are required. Great involvement in the identification of the needed
prerequisites mod and mod stacking is required.
The airworthiness requirements are the applicable certification basis of each Airbus
program. Planning is reviewed on a weekly basis with SIM/SR.
SB approval activity:
Under this subtask, it is to verify that SB content is in line with the approved mods on
which the SB is built on.
Repair Design Approval Form (RDAF) and defect reports
Many defect reports during SB implementations which are being handled by RDAF
process.

⦁ Understand In-service Process, MoD Process, SB Process
⦁ Airworthiness CS25 requirements
⦁ Change Management Process
⦁ Quality mindset
⦁ Excellent teamplayer but still able to work autonomously
⦁ Very good communications/relationships skills to interface and collaborate in an
international environment
⦁ The ability to deliver using persuasion, negotiation and influence
⦁ Some Airworthiness & Certification experience is an advantage, but not essential
⦁ Able to quickly understand and synthetize technical topics and deliver a clear
message
⦁ Sometimes weekend working required
