Role Title: Junior Accountant


 

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency. Responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the senior accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the finance department.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Post and Process Journal Entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements according to accounting principles.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports.
  • Assist senior accountant in the preparation of monthly/Yearly Closings.
  • Assist with other accounting projects.
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned. 



Work Experience 
 

  • Must either be a recent graduate or in the process of completing bachelor's degree or master’s degree in accounting.
  • Must have a Proficient Accounting Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Must have understanding of Direct and Indirect taxation.
  • Basic knowledge on Accounting Software (Zoho Books Preferred).
  • Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge.
