Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Demolition Site Supervisor to join our team in Northern Manitoba. The selected individual will join the larger Arcadis Construction Services Group that sits within the Global Resilience Business Area. The successful candidate must possess solid leadership, great organizational/planning skills, and excellent communication skills to be able to lead the dynamic work environment.
As a Senior Demolition Site Supervisor, you will work within the ACS Group supporting projects related to D3 Decommissioning, Abatement and Demolition. This position is to service our Demolition Projects across Manitoba. Onsite opportunity, 90% travel will be required.
Role accountabilities:
The role requires a knowledgeable and experienced leader to execute work in the field providing industry expertise related to Environmental Regulatory Requirements, Health & Safety, Construction Operations, Planning & Scheduling, and Contract & Personnel Management.
The Senior Demolition Site Supervisor must work collaboratively with the Arcadis Construction Project team including Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Estimators, Safety Officers, Engineers and staff, in addition to other project stakeholders such as client representatives, suppliers, subtrade supervisors and field staff.
Some of the day-to-day requirements will involve being responsible for the project site planning/organization of subcontractors, Arcadis crews, and other project stakeholders assuring all Arcadis health and safety policies and procedures are implemented and enforced in the field. This also includes leading daily operations meetings. It is the Supervisor’s responsibility to assess, adjust and re-assess the operations daily to assure the effective and efficient use of resources onsite and communicate to the project team additional needs, solutions, and appropriate timelines.
Contract Management and Scope Management in parallel with the Project Manager is a responsibility of the Site Supervisor. Having a full understanding of the contract, divided scopes, and change management in the field to assure that change orders and scope creep are being identified and managed appropriately is essential.
Additionally, it is the responsibility of the Supervisor to manage all required paperwork onsite to assure compliance with local regulatory requirements and Arcadis policies (Site Supervisor Reports, Morning Tailgates, Safety Talks, Equipment Inspections, etc.).
