Role Description

Role Accountabilities:

As a Mechanical Engineer in our Global Excellence Centres (GEC), you will play a major role and will be part of Rail System Group under Rail which is one of Global Business Areas (GBA). You will be reporting to Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer. You will also collaborate with the lead regions and stakeholders on a regular basis. You will manage the delivery of the projects to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets

  • Proficient in the following mechanical engineering design fundamentals: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, LTHW & Chill water systems, compressed air system, gas piping, daylighting analysis, building envelop design, over-heating risk assessment, Part-L compliance.
  • Working Knowledge in AUTOCAD, REVIT or AECOsim and NAVISWORKS.
  • Proficient in using the following engineering software: IES-VE, HEAVACOM (pipe/duct pressure drop calculation), HAP, SKETCHUP & Bluebeam.
  • Liaise with other disciplines within the MEP Project Team, other discipline like architects and civil team for coordination MEP works and ensure all requirements are understood.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledgeable in using CIBSE pipe/duct sizer.
  • Apply technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as UK, European and Middle East Mechanical Design Codes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Mechanical Discipline from recognized University.
  • Belong to the top 20% of the engineering class.
