Role Description:

Role Accountabilities:
As a Senior Engineer, you are required to provide signalling design solutions for medium to complex projects involving modern CBI/EI based interlocking and conventional signalling interlocking systems.
- Provide day-to-day design and delivery support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and produce railway signalling designs, specifications, and reports using mandatory signalling principles as needed.
- Ensure that all deliverables meet Arcadis’/client procedures.
- Liaison and meetings with others, such as other discipline teams, project stakeholders and contractors.
- Flexible to take up challenges for helping wider signalling team in achieving project demands.
- Understand the limitations with codes and standards and propose solutions.
- Proactively engage with the countries to help them define task scope and drive the team to deliver the scope.
- Implement the Arcadis Quality Management system and ISO requirements on projects.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality system within the signalling business.
- Proactively engage with the design teams to define task scope and deliver the scope.
- Provide alternative solutions.
- Provide input into specific technical aspects of individual bids to support the production of high-winning bids.
- Contribute to the development of team by contributing to upskilling and training the junior team members.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ yrs. experience in railway signalling designs of UK or Australia or Indian Railways.
- Diploma OR B/Tech in relevant field ( Electrical / Electronics / Communications)
- Knowledge appropriate railway standards, design processes and procedures applicable for outline (scheme development) and/or detailed designs.
- Strong commitment towards delivering signalling designs that adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality, as well as a comprehensive understanding of risk assessment/hazard identification, management, and mitigation throughout the signalling design process.
- Evidence of professional development and upkeep of current design skills, experience, and training records.
- Competent with the use of industry-standard CAD packages and signalling design tools for the development of detailed design and/or signalling scheme development.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders as required.
- Experience with signalling design within the context of multidisciplinary rail projects.
- Good knowledge of railway standards and design processes.
- Experience in the development of signalling schemes plans/signalling interlocking plans.
- Experience in the development of signalling detailed designs for conventional relay-based interlockings and/or modern EI/SSI/CBI interlockings.
- Knowledge of document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, ProjectWise, BIM 360, etc.).
