Role purpose

 

The Lead Functional architect role is the ultimate Business Process Design Authority.  The role is a continuous improvement process leader responsible for driving the development and implementation of the best practice business processes across the various business areas and regions.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee and lead the decision to design and change the architecture across the various application layers for the SAP 4HANA ERP program - factory layer, MES layer, ERP layer,
  • Responsible for ensuring agreed request for changes (RFC’s) as a result of the Change Control Board (project and business as usual BAU) are catalogued, prioritized, resourced, monitored, managed and closed in accordance with an agreed timeframe to an agreed quality in consultation with the ERP Programmed Delivery and ERP Service Operations Service Delivery Managers,
  • Responsible for quality and assurance of the process integrity of the different functional areas,
  • Direct cross-functional teams to deliver breakthrough process improvement to provide scale, reusability, reduce defects and achieve world class quality of business processes.
  • Evaluate end-to-end process capability and business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze the as-is, best practices, collect and apply lessons learned,
  • Work with multiple stakeholders and facilitates alignment among relevant business resources and partner with IT throughout the region.

 

 Requirements

 

  • College or University (IT /Business Degree or Equivalent),
  • 5+ years plus of managing design stage ERP projects,
  • Expert level understanding of the SAP product suite,
  • Extensive experience with SAP configuration, including workflows, validation rules, and security controls,
  • Experience defining business requirements, writing functional design documentation,
  • Experience in documenting current state business processes and wireframing system designs,
  • Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes,
  • Experience integrating SAP with different business systems, as well as working with integration tools,
  • Full lifecycle ERP experience in an ERP manufacturing environment with specific understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, shop floor, commercial and finance processes and operations,
  • Experience with remote/dotted line management of staff in multiple countries,
  • Intimate knowledge of Change management approaches and techniques,
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

What will you do?   With a permanent position working for Schneider Electric Regional Execution Platform (REP) we are looking for Design Leader (Customer Project Technical Engineer) . He/She will be a part of our customer project execution / application center, and will be in close coperation with project technical teams located outside of Slovakia, requiring international collaboration with other functional teams and stakeholders.
