As a NAS Storage Engineer, you will work with and lead other Deutsche Bank Storage Engineering team members to provide standardized storage solutions to be deployed in the data centers globally.   You will be responsible for the certification of our storage devices’ new code and maintaining our storage engineering documentation.   Your focus will be in the area of NAS Engineering. You will also provide consultation to Deutsche Bank Storage Operations teams for problem management purposes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the NAS engineering solutions (NetApp) as formulated by our Product Management team for both on-prem and in the Google cloud (GCP).
  • Drive the definition and design of new core processes; tools; organization; performance metrics; and governance, handson
  • Evaluate of new solution technology in the NAS  area
  • Ensure adherence to Deutsche Bank Security Standards (CISO)
  • Certify new NetApp code and related software
  • Maintain documentation standards
  • Provide consultation to Deutsche Bank Storage Operations
  • Engage a wide stakeholder community and our suppliers to gain their participation in collaborative design processes and ensure their support for implementing change
  • Work with our business/application teams to gather requirement in order to engineer a solution
  • Maintain engineering standards and help Operations team in adhering to these
  • Manage time effectively in order to work with different priority, different projects

 

Your Skills & Experience

  • 10 years plus experience in the NAS storage industry with strong network management
  • Detailed knowledge in NetApp (7-mode, Cluster) ONTAP and related tools (WFA, snapvault)
  • Knowledge of CVO (in GCP preferably)
  • Expert knowledge on NFS, CIFS, FC
  • Expert knowledge on NetApp migration methodology
  • Strong performance analysis and troubleshooting skills for ONTAP
  • Container (Kubernetes, openshift) experience
  • Scripting ability (sh, powershell, perl, python)
  • Exposure to a range of different NAS solutions in the industry (NetApp, Isilon, Unity, etc)
  • Disciplined and analytical

The IT Application Owner (ITAO) is accountable for the Application Management of portfolio of applications.
