JOB DESCRIPTION

The Local Physical Asset Manager oversees and directs property management and leasing services for each asset. They monitor market trends in value, cost and demand/supply fundamentals to identify acquisition and disposition opportunities and continuously review the portfolio, for opportunities to add value through renovation, expansion or repositioning the asset. They develop the management, leasing and capital investment strategies with the aim of maintaining a competitive edge and present their plans to Portfolio Managers, as required. They provide oversight and manage relationships with property managers and joint venture partners. The Local Asset Manager has bottom line responsibility for asset performance and will prepare quarterly reports to present property performance along with progress on strategic initiatives, to relevant internal stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

  • Interact with DWS ESG Data Analyst team regarding the data quality and data requirements within the ESG data platform.
  • Extract relevant data from ESG reporting platform and complete various ESG reporting under the guidance of the Global Head of ESG, Real Estate:
    • Regulatory reports (e.g. Principal Adverse Indicators)
    • Industry bodies and benchmarks (e.g. GRESB, SCOPE and BVI)
    • Ad-hoc reporting requests and RFP (request for proposal) projects
    • Regular institutional investor reporting, including regular fund ESG performance updates and annual reports.
  • Create and maintain a list of all regular reporting and an ongoing workplan to ensure all relevant deadlines are met.
  • Create and maintain a list of ESG-related RFP responses featuring the latest information on DWS’ approach to sustainability matters.

 

Your skills and experience

Education and Experience:

  • Post-graduate or international equivalent experience
  • Degree in either an engineering/mathematics/environmental science or banking /financial/economic/accountancy related subject
  • Prior relevant work experience of 5-7 years
  • Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel) and general fluency in IT applications
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Sustainability knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience with ESG software platforms would also be an advantage.

 

Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) who enjoys working in projects across several different internal teams and departments.
  • Highly motivated and self-sufficient, with a drive to take on new challenges.
  • Diligent with strict attention to detail and able to manage deliverables under strict deadlines.
  • Comfortable in a numerical technical environment and with the general mathematical concepts of finance.
  • High level of comfort in dealing with different levels of stakeholders, both regional and functional.
  • Team Leading experience would be a benefit.
