Role Description
The Lead Business Functional Analyst covers the whole analysis phase of a project and is able to design optimal target state business processes, including aspects outside own area of responsibility to ensure target processes are designed and aligned front to back. The Business Analyst is responsible for analysing the requirements and requests from the business as well as identifying and assessing change needs. The Business Analyst captures and documents requirements, analyses the impact of changes and supports the business throughout the implementation process. The Business Analyst supports the Delivery lead in communicating and reporting the status of service level agreement and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Good understanding of the ETL concepts, PL-SQL and microservices framework. Able to run queries, analyze data in database, analyze JSON/XML outputs.

Your key responsibilities
- Leading and collaborating across teams, mentoring, teaching, discovering new techniques and helping others to adopt them, leading by example
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand up’s, Sprint Planning, Sprint review, Sprint retrospective meetings and taking part in software and architectural design activities
- Developing and communicating a deep understanding of the Finance domain, how they have been implemented, the services provided to the business and processes that support it
- Developing, maintaining, and sharing a suite of documentation which defines the end-to-end data model, including Extraction, Transformation, Loading and use in target application
- Employing data querying and analytical techniques to support the understanding of data and creation of reports and actionable intelligence
Your skills and experience
- Overall experience of 10+ years. Well aware of the Agile methodology.
- Data Analysis experience, using SQL, XML, JSON. Good understanding of microservices framework.
- Experience in delivering technical and/or operational solutions in the Financial Services Industry
- Understanding of the payments industry, payments systems, data and protocols as well as SWIFT messaging
- Very good analytical problem solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to interpret and draft in both technical and non-technical language.
- Experience with modern SDLC tools - Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity.
