JOB DESCRIPTION
eBay, Inc seeks Data Science Analyst 2 to build machine learning models and perform data mining. Design, implement and deploy machine learning technologies into reliable and scalable eBay platform development services. Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the correlation between target performance and platform features. Segment and design technical system layers to support componentized and layered software application development, including business logic functionality and database/component repository access. Identify and fix performance, scalability, and other software live issues in a very time critical environment. Develop innovative data analytics and technical solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, availability, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to platform development goals and principles. Estimate software engineering effort, plan feature implementations, and rollout complex RESTful services. Design, code, and test major software application feature and work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes. Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed from anywhere in the US.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Base Salary: $140,000 to $205,700. per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
