Technical Program Manager III
Expedia Corporate IT is responsible for supporting the day-to-day productivity technology for our global workforce. We are passionate about enabling employees to work from anywhere and have a seamless experience collaborating with their teams. Our tools also encompass assistive technologies that provide better access for employees with disabilities. Our team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager who can support the Collaboration & Accessibility tools team.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of core collaboration and accessibility tools. You will collaborate with engineers and business partners to define, track, and deliver product enhancements and critical tooling for our workforce. You will be a go-to expert for standard assistive tools that enable users of all abilities to do their job effectively, while also driving improvements to the holistic collaboration experience.
What you’ll do:
Manage the backlog and prioritization of work for 1-2 delivery teams, driving refinement and planning ceremonies
Manage and improve a comprehensive strategy for accessibility tooling, identifying gaps and supporting ad-hoc employee support needs
Stay current with accessibility guidelines, regulations and emerging employee needs
Support ad hoc user escalations on assistive technologies and manage bugs/issues to resolution
Document and communicate best practices across product portfolio to enable users
Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the delivery schedule
Lead Agile Release Planning sessions where multiple groups come together to plan their next few sprints while mapping out dependencies
Maintains program/project documentation and corresponding meetings as needed
Track issues and mitigation plans for risk management
Bring clarity and structure to technical, ambiguous projects with minimal supervision
Define and measure key performance indicators for core products and services
Who you are:
Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in technical program management, using agile scrum and SaaS technologies
Familiarity with assistive technologies such as screen readers, text editors, audio devices
Experience with supporting SaaS technologies (Microsoft 365, Slack)
Ability to create routine technical communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages)
Understand the needs of the different audience groups, adapting storytelling skills to achieve outcomes and success from your communications
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and convey complex accessibility concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Empathetic and curious individual who champions for users with disabilities and identifies creative solutions to improve team collaboration
Ability to independently execute tasks and/or provide data to support implementation of holistic solutions that forge linkages between structure, people, process and technology
Someone who is pragmatic, and always finding ways to simplify processes
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent related professional experience
Certified Scrum Master or Certified Technical Program Manager credentials

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $128,500 to $180,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $205,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
