Who You’ll Work With

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of core Ethernet Technologies with architectural exposure to design and develop Ethernet Switching as applied to both Public and Private cloud infrastructure. You will work on the intricacies of the mission-critical infrastructure that enables the world-class, multi-layered Nexus switches. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in cross-functional teamwork and be exposed to all facets of the software development cycle from innovation, marketing requirement to product delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for the Nexus Series switch product family, with emphasis in L2, L3, VXLAN and MPLS areas

Define, architect, design, and deliver new features for the Nexus Series platforms.

Maintain existing features and champion innovative ways to constantly improve the software.

Influence the design of interfaces between products to ensure inter-operability.

Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly.

Who You Are

  • Strong C programming skills.

Knowledge of distributed systems, Operating System fundamentals

Knowledge of Linux OS Internals

Familiarity with Ethernet Switching Silicon (Merchant or Custom Silicon)

JOB DESCRIPTION Who We Are This is a Software Engineer position within CX Platforms, Cisco India, responsible for building engagement with business and functional clients, translating business objectives into solutions. The ideal candidate would play a key role in the overall analysis, design, development and implementation of capabilities for Services Candidates should be able to provide examples of current and past roles which demonstrate the required skills. Who you are 3-5 years of work experience in software development using open source technologies within Open Shift or Cloud environments like AWS Strong expertise in “Python” to deliver high quality, high available & secure code providing data scalable services Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent Building efficient server-side applications, and Integrating front-end components into applications via REST APIs Implementation of solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, microservices framework with OpenShift, AWS platforms Data Platforms such, MongoDB Oracle DB, Pyspark, Postgress Good understanding of data structures and data algorithms Exposure/Experience with CI/CD tools and continuous integration – Jenkins, SonarQube, Git Knowledge of Terraform Experience with DevSecOps, Agile delivery methods using tools like JIRA Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to achieve business objective.
