JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY    
The focus of this position is to lead in identifying, developing, establishing and managing sustainable supplier base in India to align with ANSC corporate strategies & expectations. 
It is essential for this role to establish a robust, documented supplier development and on-going oversight process covering areas of supplier identification, supplier evaluation (Technical & financial capabilities), risk identification & mitigation and project management for on-going sustainable supply of locally sourced materials.
This role will oversee on site and HQ based personnel team to manage the end to end supply network; drive cost improvement projects; enhance technical capabilities of the suppliers; work in conjunction with procurement to manage a $50MM+ annual spend; and serve as the technical expert on dairy and non-dairy aspects for ANSC India.
In addition, this role will manage the development and maintenance of the Third-party manufacturers for capacity building for any new product opportunity and capacity supplementation. Will need to collaborate on the Dairy demonstration and Dairy strategy implementation for mixed milk, Abbott for enhancing sustenance locally and increase the scope of activities to multiple suppliers from the current one supplier. Close collaboration with the global dairy team and ensuring price mitigation strategies are in place will be crucial.
The incumbent needs to develop quality upgradation methodology and implementation with QA organization.


CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES    

1.        The role is single point of contact accountable for managing technical aspects of TPM/supplier mfg, quality, and continuity of supply.
2.        Manage the supplier development/TPM team efficiently & effectively to deliver high quality & uninterrupted supplies of ingredients valued in excess of $50MM annually.
3.        Lead supplier/TPM development strategies that are integrated with ANSC business needs.
4.        Ensure execution of supplier development projects on time & within budget.
5.        Develop robust supplier improvement plans.
6.        Deploy risk mitigation programs to limit exposure to supply disruptions due to technical or quality issues.
7.        Lead company efforts in executing material cost reduction / gross margin improvement programs using internal and external resources.
8.        Form robust strategic alliances & develop effective working arrangements with in AN organization & externally related organization.
9.        Coach and inspire internal and external teams to assure successful alignment and execution of the AN vision, polices & values.
10.        Address timely response to overcome supplier performance issues & take appropriate actions where required.
11.        Lead or play active role in quality / technical / commercial dispute with suppliers.
12.        Work closely with Procurement, R&D, SQA & plant stakeholders for New development /Improvement Projects.
13.        Maintain an environment where the performances of job responsibilities are in accordance with AN domestic expectations and guidelines
14.        Lead team of Dairy/Non-dairy portfolios with delegation & responsibility.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education

Bachelor/ Master    Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Science, Dairy Technology /Food Science or similar discipline and MBA OR relevant Master’s Degree

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum 20 years of relevant experience.    Minimum 20 years of experience in Supplier Development / technical services in food & beverage sector / dairy / Nutritional products industry.
Hands on working experience is preferred in manufacture/development of ingredients like Milk powders, casein, lactose, edible oils, maltodextrins, micronutrients with a curriculum of managing scope of installations, capacity expansions and start-ups.
Knowledge on agricultural/dairy commodities used in manufacture of such ingredients is a plus.
The candidate should also be able to demonstrate ability and strong leadership skills to manage successfully the business scope required in this role.
Experience in a similar role in a reputed organization will be an added advantage.
