The Role
Our DOD/Intelligence sales team is seeking an experienced, high-energy / mission focused sales professional with a proven track record of over-achieving quota, driving revenue, closing deals, and creating a significant pipeline of business within a short period of time while managing existing clients to ensure their success.

Responsible for acquiring new Federal Accounts to grow the business year over year. This role develops prospects through research, references, databases and sales strategy research. Prioritizes leads and prospects, establishes initial contact and explains value proposition, closes initial deals and cultivates relationships through developing account relationships. Successful Account Managers will monitor, measure and communicate progress against stated goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sales activities including prospecting to develop opportunities in large/strategic accounts.
• Ensure the successful rollout and adoption of Hitachi Vantara Federal products through strong account management activities and coordination with pre-and-post sales engineering and support resources.
• Prospect for and qualify leads and develop new customers in conjunction with our channel partners.
• Works on complex deals and can mitigate resources to ensure in-depth evaluation leveraging multiple factors.
• Prepare activity and forecast reports for management.
• Develop account and closing plans.
• Build and strengthen the business relationship with current accounts and new prospects.
• Coordinate with Field Marketing to develop and execute regional events.

Qualifications

• Active Clearance highly desirable TS/SCI; MIN TS/SCI eligible
• 5+ years of enterprise sales success selling to the U.S. Intelligence Community and U.S. Military Intelligence.
• 3+ years exceeding quota attainment.
• Strong existing working relationships with end users/customers for identified accounts. Successful history of engaging directly with them to drive business results.
• Able to provide high degree of major account management and control.
• Work under minimal supervision on complex projects.
• Strong interpersonal + communication skills and ability to excel in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Strong written/verbal skills
• Driven to not only meet but exceed goals and expectations consistently.
• Must want a career-oriented environment that is both fun and professional.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to develop and maintain relationships

Design and maintain storage environments for unstructured data that supports worldwide users and enterprise applications. Day to day provisioning of storage. Configure all aspects of the backup infrastructure including secondary storage frames, switches and disk/tape topologies as directed in various configurations. Participate in long term systems and capacity planning with transformation initiatives focused on reduced cost. Disaster Recovery configuration and testing for large backup environments. Design and implement commvault Simpana and NetBackup infrastructure. Participate in installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of Storage and Backup systems. Identify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve the code quality. Develop and maintain scripts/code to automate tasks for self-service and self-healing .   TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Education and Experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study and four (4) years of related experience required. The company will also accept a Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience . Work Experience. Three (3) years of experience must include: Commvault Simpana backups (V9, V10 and V11), NetBackup (V7.1 and 7.5), EMC Data domain, ECS Enterprise Object Storage, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon S3 – Cloud Object Storage; OS Patching of all backup servers; Veritas products (VxFS and VCS), administration of Netapp; RMAN backups and IntelliSnap backups and restores; Installing, configuring, performance tuning and troubleshooting Storage and Backup systems; UNIX and/or Windows Server operating systems; SQL cluster backup configuration; and handling transactional log issues .   YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN: Have courageous team collaboration. Job Summary:   Supports subsidiary and company operations by preparing government invoices for submission to customers and recording invoices and supports Accounts Receivable staff on a daily basis.   Hybrid- Ashburn, VA - Three days per week   Job Duties: Complete knowledge and ability to read and understand complex contracts and requirements to issue invoicing to customers. Intimate and strong knowledge of government billing and close-outs. Analyze, prepare, distribute, revise, coordinate the approval process, and finalize invoices for all contract types. Analyze different opportunities to provide resolution to unusual billing situations. Compile/review invoice support for quality and completeness in advance of distribution to customers. Ability to problem-solve billing complexities with limited knowledge. Uses sound judgement in order to complete accurate and effective billings. Assist and provide guidance to Billing Specialists on how to triage, troubleshoot, and provide resolution for customer support requests. Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time. Laisse with Project Management and Contracts to ensure timely communication related to the status of project deliverables and the related billing of milestones. Work with Accounts Receivable staff to ensure invoices process as quickly as possible, following up on needed approvals to finalize bills. Review billing details gathered by accounting software(s) to compute fees and charges due. Monitors and manages unbilled receivables balance and prepares monthly unbilled analysis and reconciliation on all current and completed contracts. Point of Contact for Billing Specialists when questions or issues arise. Build key relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders. Subject matter expert on government billing and ability to persuade and/or explain the processes to those stakeholders who aren’t as familiar with the day-to-day activities. Train and/or mentor to other team members as needed. Direct Billing Specialist on workload and day-to-day activities. Work independently with little direction. Assists with special projects. Continually looks for process improvements. Accountable for and maintains a positive attitude and motivation in being a team player. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with all accounting functions.   EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.   SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances, if required. Extensive government billing experience is required. Five (5)+ years of Accounting or Finance experience preferred. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and financial/accounting software experience. Strong knowledge of online portals (WAWF, Intuitive, Exostar, Sikorsky, Raytheon, ARIBA, ORISS, IRTC, etc.). SAP software is a plus. Government contracting software knowledge is a must.
