Skills:
Experience in Materials Science and/or process selection used in the design of automotive components.
Demonstrate hands-on experience with Fasteners and/or Materials Science with direct experience in an Automotive Engineering or Laboratory or Applied or Basic Research environment is a plus.
Demonstrate ability with the interpretation of relevant Industry standards (ASTM, ISO, SAE).
Demonstrated ability to articulate, communicate and implement the company strategic vision.
Effective written and verbal communication skills: ability to write in depth technical reports, detailed technical specifications and show results using clear and concise presentations.
Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a team, able to follow directions and to make job related decisions.
Demonstrate experience with ISO9001 and/or ISO17025 audits is a plus
Job Description :
Identify, assess and develop experiments using fasteners, joints and clips including but not only: bolts, nuts, screws, washers, clips, rivets, pins
Design and develop laboratory test procedures and write reports based on Laboratory experimental tests results.
Fastener Laboratory testing for components, torque to failure, dynamic and residual torque analyses, torque strategy development and clamp load measurements.
Support to the local assembly plants for Fasteners, Clamp Load measurements and insertion/extraction tests.
Work with various Product Development organizations such as Assembly Plants, Materials Laboratories and Quality Engineering in order to ensure all enablers are properly utilized and released to meet functional objectives for global and regional and local targets.
Responsible to follow up the maintenance and calibration for selected equipment in the Materials and Fasteners Laboratory.
