Strong desire to learn and seek out opportunities to gain experience. Familiarity with statistical control concepts such as Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk. Ability to perform 1D stack analysis. Ability to create 3D Tolerance Analysis models and drive towards design solutions. Ability to apply, understand, create, and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard. Demonstrated ability to perform 1D &2D dimensional stack studies. CAD skills are preferred (CATIA, NX and Teamcenter). Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work with a cross-functional teams. Working knowledge of statistics Root Cause Analysis methods Strong analytical, problem-solving Understanding of vehicle design and assembly and process control Familiarity with design and engineering standards (ASME, ISO, AIAG, etc.) High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) Job Description : Coordinate and schedule inspections, analysis, testing, documentation and record keeping, following the appropriate standards. Provide support for local Engineering team for measuring and testing automotive parts and components. Follow up the maintenance and calibration for selected equipment in the Metrology Laboratory. Develop, document and maintain dimensional requirements for components and assemblies, including datum definition, tolerances and measurement points. Support of product releasing deadlines. 1D stack studies to validate tolerances and to aid root cause analysis of engineering issues, validate vehicle design, locating schemes, and process alternatives, with the goal of managing dimensional variation. Recommendation of gauging methods. Root cause of gauge and tool repeatability issues. Data analysis to understand and resolve build issues. Creation of dimensional requirements for source packages. Creation and maintenance of best practice library. Responsibilities include interior and/or exterior systems, part validation, root cause analysis, launch support and interface with suppliers. Conducts 3D Variation Analysis process studies through up front processing strategies and review of completed models for accuracy and application development. Supports and implements the PHES Dimensional Control Processes. Development of datum strategies, dimensional specifications and measurement plans. Apply, review, and approve GD&T, dimensional specifications and drawings. Driving quality improvement through innovation and by lessons learned from previous projects. Support the Gage / Checking Fixture Gage Review, Buyoff, and Gage R&R process Validate product and process design and assembly at the geometric level of the scope entrusted (Quality Assurance Fixtures management). Participates in the development of the geometric monitoring plan at Assembly line. Responsible for converging geometric quality in the industrialization phase prior to volume production. Reports component and assembly quality issues Participating in activities to resolve issues between design, part conformity and manufacturing. Conducts the analyses, identify quality optimization solutions, define pilot for each issue and facilitate communication to insure conformity to BCI KPIs
