International EHS Lead
Work Dynamics
What this job involves:
Putting safety protocols in place
As an industry leader, JLL not only thinks of ways to optimise a workplace—we also make sure that everybody in there is safe and risk-free. That’s why we’re on the lookout for an effective country EHS manager who will help the account regional EHS director in implementing and managing the Company’s safety management system across the region.
As the person in charge, you’ll see to it that both national and local safety standards are religiously followed in all of our clients’ multisite portfolios. Aside from these, you’ll be on top of designing and enforcing risk management strategies; as well as providing reports on the adoption of safety protocols.
You’ll also be the go-to person for all things related to workplace safety. In this role, you’ll provide valuable insights and technical advice on mitigating risks. You’ll also organise and roll out effective communication plans for the region. Performing routine inspections, reviews and audits is part of your mandate, too.
Supporting our teams across APAC
Are you a staunch supporter of collaborative work and team effort? If so, this is the perfect role for you. As the person in charge, you’ll work closely with site teams to ensure that our safety measures and procedures are adhered to. Likewise, you’ll constantly collaborate with our account teams to identify opportunities for improvement, and determine cost-effective ways in implementing our safety standards.
Also part of your scope is to build good working relationship with our clients and contractors. In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with facilities managers in handling key external and internal stakeholders. You’ll also support our procurement team in selecting contractors, and ensuring that these approved experts follow safety standards in place.
Sound like you? To apply you need to be:
A full-fledged authority in workplace safety
The ideal candidate will steer the Company to safety—and see to it that the workplace stays this way. That’s why we’re looking for a certified expert with over three years’ experience in managing EHS systems. We’d also want someone who is well-versed in international safety standards, preferably those who hold Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) certification or other national equivalent.
Likewise, the ideal candidate is equipped with good working knowledge of EHS tools and platforms, and the technical skills to overcome issues that may come our way. A relevant experience in handling quality management systems, as well as Lead Auditor Qualifications, are also advantageous.
A total ace in leadership, soft skills
What we’re looking for is a country EHS manager who can effectively take on the pressures of the work, all while providing high-quality deliverables in the process. As the person in charge, you must have superior verbal and written communications skills to cover a wide range to client-engagement tasks such as meetings, presentations and reports. These skills will also prove useful when working with multicultural teams.
Likewise, we want someone who can constantly deliver innovative solutions based on the clients’ business needs. A team player at heart, the ideal candidate must also strike a perfect balance between our clients’ demands and deadlines. Your expertise in drafting account policies and training materials will also be a big plus.
